Based on "reviews" of my site/offer, most people think it looks "scammy"

I make my living off the business I am offering and just want to share the good fortune with others. What are some simple steps to make an offer site look less like a "scam" when it really isn't.

    Have real proof.

    Be real

Get reviews from real people (video is better)

    Did I say... Be Real?

Dont over do the design trying to make it look "flashy"

Offer a first chapter free so they can see its good.

Just a few off the top of my head

Here's the reality friend... in general even this post sounds scammy and spammy:

"I make living off the business I am offering"
-comes across as a veiled attempt to pique a fortune seekers interest

"and just want to share my good fortune with others"
-Huh? Why? What's the catch? As a reader, I'm already skeptical .

Is this sentence by chance a lead in on your website or part of your pitch? If you are asking for even one penny you contradict the message you are portraying in this sentence.

" I make a living off the business I am offering and just want to share my good fortune"

Todays reader is more savvy and less likely to fall for a pitch line from the Mid-20th century book of multi-level marketing... did I mention they are also less trusting?

Marc's comment reminds me of one of my favorite truisms from my sales career : "If you can get the prospect to be real with you, you are more than half way to closing the deal"

Here's the catch: You generally need to be real with the prospect, before they will be real with you.

Just my thoughts and hoping you can gain something from them. If not the price was right, eh? -

Why don't you put up a link and ask for specifics about your site? It's called a review request and it won't get you busted if it's sincere. Either that or create a signature file and put the link in there. Either is okay unless you've already had a run in with admin and have been restricted in some way.

    Let's see...

You joined this site about 3.5 hours ago as I write this.

You've made 9 posts, of which 7 are now deleted.

    You're a non-entity according to your profile.

Your post here sounds like the lead-in to yet another MLM recruiting pitch page. The only thing missing is the link (which I'm guessing is what may have caused 7 of your posts to disappear) and the "if I could show you a way..." come-on.

    Nope, nothing looks scammy here...

Bill, your math skills are fine. I need to get my eyes checked. I picked up on "last activity" rather than "join date"...

mediaspree, I apologize for the mistake...

Please don't take this the wrong way, but avoiding hackneyed sentiments like "I just want to share the good fortune with others" (even though they may be entirely true) will probably help a lot.

And usually, sticking to both the letter and the spirit of general regulatory guidelines, such as those of the FTC (whether you live in America or not - whether your sites are hosted there or not), will help to avoid "scammy" appearances too ... and especially anything that could possibly come across as an income claim.

Show us a picture or video of YOU, or someone who can really act like YOU. By that, I mean the way you speak and present yourself in video must also match the content that you write on your sales page. So, you can hire someone to pretend to be you but make sure they do a good job at it!

Also, leave a REAL phone number.
