Hi Everyone

I want to set up an autoblog and i know if you post manually you can just at the read more tags to the post. To shorten the article and require the person to click read more for the rest of the article.

But i need it done automatically,so i've tried finding a plugin that does it and no luck. Im presuming you ness to alter the template but i have no css experience.

But if someone knows what code i need to use and where i need to put it

ie: index.php underneth the line that says xxxxxxxxx

Id really appreciate it.

Thanks Andy

The easiest way is to find a WP theme that does this for you! Then you don't have to mess around with plugins or coding. There are many themes with this type of functionality.

The plugin I like the best is Evermore, but there are a number of others you can try. You can customize Evermore as to length and appearance of the preview.

I searched using "readmore wordpress plugin" and found a number of options.

I am guessing if you want the articles shortened that you need to change your setting in WordPress for how many articles are displayed on the page, probably to around 7.
