I have an idea for a WSO that I would like to sell/give away but I'm clueless to some of the basic things that creating a WSO requires. Things such as how to create and format a nice .pdf, how to make the .pdf available for others to download and how to then sell the download.

Does anyone know of a comprehensive report or guide somewhere for WSO creation basics?

It's the same for when you do it for anywhere.

Just pretend it's for the public to buy and solve it like anyone would - look for pdf converters (check out open office and pdf995) and then payment processors etc...

    you'll need to learn sometime.

You can use the Warriorpro system to save yourself some hassle but this is stuff you really should try to work out rather than hope others can tell you it.

Fair enough, just figuring it out is a good option as well.

There are a couple of guides out there for WSO creation. I have had success with WSO secrets.

There is quite a bit of information available about creating WSOs available throughout the forum and especially in the WSO forum. You want to be careful though. Make sure if you decide to purchase a WSO, that the author has some credibility in that area. Take some time to read the forum and you'll begin to see who the most respected authorities are, then take it from there. Good luck!

    Hi Bryan,

You PDF doesn't have to be fancy. Just search Google for PDF creators. You can also use Open Office which is free.

To deliver the PDF, there are many options. Here are two of them...

    1) If you DON'T have hosting, you can use a service like e-junkie.com. They host the file (securely) and direct the payments to your PayPal account. They have a free trial and then it's $5 per month.

    2) If you DO have hosting and a domain name, you can host it yourself. Just put up a simple page with a download link for the file and upload it to your server. The file will not be secure -- but this option is quick and easy.

Then, go to PayPal and create a Buy Now button. It's very easy. You set the options, and they'll give you some code to paste into your WSO page. Note: You want to use the e-mail link code.

If you want to capture the names of your buyers, you can cut & paste your autoresponder code onto your download page, as well.

If you want to see how the link should look in your WSO's "BB" code, just find an example in the WSO section and click "quote" -- you'll be able to see their code.

To sell it, you just need to write some copy, pay your $40 fee via PayPal, and post your WSO.

The whole process is actually pretty easy.

You can make it secure quite easily by using some simple PHP coding.

I haven't been around on this forum for too long, so I kind of assumed that taking security measures to prevent fraudulent downloads would be the norm on here.

If not, I might make a small free GUI (user interface) to allow Warrior Forum members to secure their files .

I know it's a little off-topic, and I'm not trying to hi-jack this thread, but if this is the case, please let me know via a PM or something so I can roll this application out.

        Hi Fireworks,

What I outlined in my post (above) is a "quick and dirty" approach -- just to get the WSO up and running. But, of course, you're absolutely right. Whenever possible, it's best to secure your download. And there are many ways to do that.

One way is to use a service such as e-junkie.com or WSO Pro. You can also use a WordPress plug-in (Jason Fladlien sells a good one).

I know a little about PHP coding, but I'm FAR from an expert at it. I'd love to know how to secure a file or site with PHP.

If you go to the War Room, I seem to remember some members there giving out free guides about creating a successful WSO.

Caliban Darklock has a product specifically about the nuts and bolts of getting your products ready with the technical details. Matt Rhodes (I think) just had a less detailed but more focused WSO product out. Assuming they're both still for sale, the combination would probably cover everything you ever wanted to know about creating a product and selling it as a WSO.

I'd suggest you spend more time figuring things out before going for a WSO. As a War Room member there's a complete free education just waiting for you to take it. There are many free downloads on all kinds of topics in there. There's also a section where Allan Says, the guy who runs this camp has posted some absolutely brilliant marketing methods and plans.

This stuff alone is worth 10 times what you paid for the War Room. At the very top of the left border of the site in the WR you'll see a header that says: My Ideas, Strategies & Plans. Click on that, and just soak it up. It's one idea after another about Internet Marketing by someone who has obviously been very successful at it.

I've been a war room member for awhile now. I'm aware of what is in there and I agree with you about it's worth. I was just looking for some info on the logistics of getting a WSO up for sale. I've found everything I need. Thank you, all.

Download Open Office. Use OO Writer to create your pdf. Export from OO as a pdf file but save the file in OO format also.

    There, you have your pdf.

Buy DLGuard. Use it for your payment/delivery solution. You can use the same installation of DLGuard to deliver as many products as you can make.

    There's your payment/delivery solution.

Create a sales page with your DLGuard link on the order button. Create a WSO page if you want to sell it as a WSO. Do you sales page on a blog or static html page. Your WSO will be in bbcode. bbcode info here: WarriorForum - Internet Marketing Forums - BB Code List

If I tell you any more, I'll have to create a WSO and charge you.

I don't have any guides on the matter, but I'll provide a few tips.

    1. You can create your WSO in Word if you'd like, go over to pdfonline.com and then upload that .doc file and have it emailed to you in PDF format.

You can also just get OpenOffice, which is free, type your WSO there and save as a PDF

    2. You can use a file management function like e-junkie has to offer to deliver your PDF or you can upload to your server (my advice is to put it in a zip folder first) and then just direct all customers to that link. Example. Your domain is www. allthingsmarketing. com, you upload your zip folder named WSO999.zip, then all your customers would visit www.allthingsmarketing.com to get your product.

Congrats on having a great idea for a WSO, don't forget to make it happen and tell us all about your success when you do!

Tons of people use OpenOffice on this forum because it works. The
quality of the PDF file is great in my opinion. So, if you are looking for
a free and high quality solution, check out OpenOffice.
