I create all my own products but I would suggest PLR over Public Domain simply because it is easier to be clear about rights.

There is also a post (somewhere on here, if you can find it) with a list of all of the WF members who sell PLR.

You have to be careful with PLR. I can't tell you how many products I have purchased that said they came with PLR rights (which "usually" means I have the right to edit them) just to get the package and find out that you actually bought RR or MRR rights instead.

The important part is that you find PLR that allows you to do what you want to do with it.

This doesn't mean full unrestricted rights either.

You want it to be able to be used the way you intend to use it. I take content and convert it into another medium and use it that way. Sometimes I will use it as is, with very minor changes. Others I will do a total overhaul.

Sometimes I will use the same content multiple times to get top mileage.

I will be honest and say that I haven't used public domain for product creation, but you need to be careful here too. There are some instances where specific versions may be copyright protected where others may not. Search this forum for "Think and Grow Rich" and you will see what I mean. The wrong version could get you into major legal trouble.

I would recommend public domain over PLR for the same reason.

Public domain is public domain. You can pretty much do whatever you want with it.

With PLR, unless you are dealing with the original author, rights can be murky.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

I used to rewrite PLR into my own products. Sooo I guess that is kind of in the middle? haha

Public Domain always has and always will be my first choice. However, I do use PLR to create products from time to time.

I've recently begun combining Public Domain and PLR together. I've done that with several books I've published on Kindle and two have become bestsellers in their categories.

I prefer PLR because it's easier for me to edit and is usually more up to date. With public domain, it can be difficult to determine if there is still a copyright on the work. Most PLR products should come with the terms of use.

Both PLR and public domain can be good, as long as they're qaulity material.

PLR, especially, needs to be of a decent quality to begin with.

Otherwise you'll be doing more work than if you were writing from scratch.

True, you need to make sure whatever you use it good quality, and that you're 100% sure of the rights before you get going.

Then I would most definitely edit things before you use them. I always edit PLR - even if I'm using it in an email autoresponder series, I usually edit it just so it's a bit more personal.

You said you were looking for PLR in the business niche, well it depends what kind of business but this thread is great for finding PLR from Warriors (not just junk bulk PLR sites but original PLR content that hasn't been reused and resold again and again): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-required.html
