Tools for time strapped IM'ers
Here are some of the main tools I use to get things done quickly and efficiently... thought I'd list them here so you guys can make more money and use your time more wisely too.
1. Downthemall (firefox plugin)
You can just download streaming videos instead of having to leave a window open with this tool.
Don't have the link, but a Google search will bring it up.
2. The best video conversion software I've come across (and it's free)
It's called "Pazera" and it will convert your videos any which way you want. I usually download webinars and videos but see no point sitting there watching a screen change, when it's all verbalized anyway. I just rip the audio, put it on my MP3 player or on a CD when I'm driving or hitting the gym.
Get it here:

Note: I've tried a ton of other converters, this one beats all the "fancy" looking ones hands down.
3. Pen, paper, + the pomodoro timer
Sure, there are tons of task management tools out there. But nothing beats crossing stuff out on a "to do" list. Plus, your tasks won't get lost in some random file on your desktop (you'll get to it later, right?)
Get the free timer here:
focus booster - home; try the pomodoro technique
4. VLC media player
I'm sure most people use this, but it doesn't hurt to list it again. This thing will literally play any video file format.
VideoLAN - VLC: Official site - Free multimedia solutions for all OS!vlc/
I'm sure I've missed a few things, but I'll add more if they come to mind. Feel free to list your own productivity tools and tips.
Best,
Dean
