Suggestions for an out of job middle-level economist/analyst?

Hi everyone...

This is my very first post in the Warrior Forum.
I've been following this forum as an observer from quite awhile and only became a registered member recently.

So here's my story: I recently voluntarily resigned from my job as a middle level economist/analyst for a bank (not in the USA). It was very hard for me to make that decision mainly because I actually liked the job, but at the same time, it was taking too big a toll on my personal and family life. Too much time was spent constantly reading and keeping up to date with the financial markets, all for keeping "the powers that be" up-to-date. And please don't get me started on the salary.

Having been glued for hours to the internet for work research, I had this feeling (or calling) that I can actually make a living from the Net. Alas, with some savings in hand, and with the belief that "there's life out there", I made a leap of faith and handed in my papers.

Doing research on internet businesses though, I've found that there are just way too many models to consider. And I've realised that with too much to chew on a time, you become inundated with the data and usually get stuck. "Analysis paralysis" as some call it.

I know enough in theory about affiliate marketing as well as the benefits of creating your own products. As much as I'd love to create my own Warrior Special Offer (WSO) one day, I'm afraid that my economics/finance background won't give me an edge in the internet marketing field for WSOs.

So I'm turning to "the knowledgeable and kind ones" within this super Warrior Forum to ask for some guidance on the path I could probably take to maximise my skills in making a living online.

Many thanks in advance and I appreciate all your constructive advise.

Wow, hope you have savings to get you through a period of unemployment.

If you can create some sort of product about investing in the stock market or forex market and even have some sort of software created to help with this activity, you could put it up on clickbank and get affiliates for it. You could also charge a premium price because if you give quality, valuable information this market will pay for it.

Good luck. Just follow what feels right to you and stick with it without jumping to something else too soon.

Firstly NR, good luck with the venture.

Second, you are wrong about your background being a disadvantage when offering WSOs. In fact, this is probably one of the easiest ways to get started. You could simply put together something that people here want and then offer it in the WSO section. There's nothing complicated about that. The only difficulty is understanding what the people around here actually want, but again studying the WSO section should give you a good idea of that.

You can even outsource the creating of the product if you have difficulty with that. Where to find outsourcers? Warriors for Hire section. Sure, you will need to do a bit of trial and error, but this forum can certainly get you started. Make sure you capture the names & email addresses of your purchasers and then, once you know what you are doing, you can branch out.

Many thanks redicelander and Will Edwards.
I appreciate your good and prompt suggestions.
I'll definitely try out your suggestions.

PS: Man, I'm so new at this, I don't even know how to use the "thank member feature" that I see being used elsewhere in this forum. I would have used that instead.

Many thanks for your kind words of encouragement, Christina Ward....
Since we're both beginners at this, I hope we both "get off the ground" soon.
I hope to hear of your success soon.
