Amazon store, selling products by country
It dawned on me today that my Amazon store has been based on UK products. To remedy this, I opened an amazon.COM account also and started adding US products to a US section of my site.
My site is powered by Wordpress so what I've done is create a fresh Wordpress install at domain.com/uk. The new install contains all the UK products and runs on the same theme, while all the original informational posts and some new US products have been kept on domain.com. In my sidebar I now have links to the "US" and "UK" stores. I'm wondering if I might have gone about this all wrong. Am I going to run into trouble having two parallel Wordpress installs, even though the content is not duplicated? I also assume this means I need two sitemaps. It seems like a clunky way to do this is I will later do it for other countries.
