Need Wordpress Editor Plugin

Can anyone suggest a WSIWYG Wordpress Editor plugin to alter
the font and font size, etc on websites?

I have tried DeansFCK but it created a conflict with my slider.

  • I don't know if this helps, but I did a quick search right now on wordpress.org (make sure you're on .org) then at the top open the window called Extend and click: plugins. Then on the Search Plugins box enter font and size. I found about 273 plugins for that, didn't look through them all, but the 1st page looks like what you're looking for. Hope this helps.

    • It can be done from within the theme, if the theme is a good one. I don't want to steal anybody's thunder, but one of the projects I'm involved in, namely WPSumo, (you have the link in the signature) has a very powerful style editor. In addition, it allows you to use Google and Cufon fonts and modify pretty much everything without touching any source code file. We're having an affiliate program too.

      But if you're not into spending that much money, you can do a search on Wordpress plugin directory and try to find something for free. Chances are that you may find something relatively decent if editing the style is all that you want.

    • I do it in the stylesheet if it's for the complete site. Otherwise I use html code for the smaller parts I want to change.

  • I usually go by the amount of downloads and the amount of stars because finding any one person to tell you which one, isn't as good as looking at the stats of people who downloaded and rated it well. Good luck to you.
  • I'm a bit geeky. I just do a hard edit via the CSS through my FTP . I prefer to stay away from pluggins for the most part. I only use the ones which are properly verified.
  • Thanks for that. You are correct, my Theme does allow for that, but I can't recognise
    a single font they have listed there and it would certainly help if they had a preview!

    Edit: I found the preview... silly me!

  • Install the tinymce advanced plugin
    WordPress › TinyMCE Advanced « WordPress Plugins
    it has a font/font size button - and some other cool features - like stop removing pagebreaks, stop stripping inline frame code, some table functions to name a few - make sure you edit it after install to show the buttons you want on your editor -

  • I also recommend Tiny MCE Advanced. It does all the stuff that the standard WordPress edit should have.

    One of the main features I like is that it has an option to prevent Wordpress chomping up all your blank lines when you want to space things out a bit. That default behaviour of WordPress used to bug me so much.

    I also recommend Tiny MCE Advanced but you might want to note this from the Wordpress blog regarding features in 3.2 to be released at the end of June
