Some Important Questions About Affiliate Commisions

My product launch is just 15 days away and I didn't finished some important tasks like setting up affiliate program or making partners. This is my first online launch and it seems kinda difficult than offline launches.

I just bought and installed Post Affiliate Pro script. I went through the manual and asked my web guy to set up everything. Now it comes about attracting affiliates. My niche is personal growth. Here are some questions:

Q.1). How much commission is standard and will attract affiliates? (product price is between $197 to $297)

Q.2). How do YOU attract affiliates? I have created all the affiliate training and a short manual but I still don't know how we get affiliates. I'm a newbie in JV stuff.

Q.3). What incentives we can give away that will make affiliates promote our next launch too.

Q.4). How can we keep them extremely happy and satisfied from our side?

Q.5). What is your best approach/advice to get affiliates?

Q.1) Always make your affiliates as happy as you can afford! People will tell other people that they get a lot of profit from you and you get more affilliates. If you have just 2 affilliates with 10% commission, they will not do the best they can. If you have like 100 affilliates with 50 or 75% commission they'll be superhappy

Q.2) Can't answer this one, sorry not totally in to it.

Q.3) Give the best affiliate(s) a price or something. Make it like a competition.

    Q.4) see Q.1 :p

    Q.5) -

Finding affiliates to start out with can be a very difficult process. Look for sites in your niche and email sites that accept affiliate programs. Don't spam the sites, but politely send an email explaining your commission rate and see if they have any interest. It is always a good idea to give a follow up thank you email regardless if they decide to become an affiliate or not.
