Do articles to Ezine Articles have to be unique?

Hi Warriors,

Was reading some blog post today where the author suggested the following steps for article marketing:-

* Submit article to your blog first
* After google indexes it, then submit to ezine articles and other article directories next

Is this a good strategy? Or should the article to eZA be unique?

    I'll say it should be good content. If its something , which help solving a problem . Then every strategy is good.

      Ron,

      Go for volume. Create an article with variants within them. Use a service like JetSpinner and spin 10-50 variants of it. Submit the variants over time. I checked the Ezinearticles editorial guidelines and there was nothing in there that was against doing this.

        Thanks Raja. Spinning is definitely a good option, although a time consuming one.

        Is there a risk to submitting an indexed article on my site to EZ?

        In the past, I have submitted unique articles, but am wondering if my site should be the origin of these articles and Ezinearticles and other directories be a syndicated network of sorts...

          Whoa! EzineArticles can get pretty pissy if you start submitting non unique articles. That being said sent them in to Ezine - get them approved, then you can put them on your blog.

          NOW. You really should be posting unique content to your blog so using jet spinner is a good idea in this case.

            It doest have to be unique, but it shouldn't be within there database that is what I have learnt over my days of submission.

              It doesn't have to be unique in the sense that, you may have the same article submited at other article directories also. Most people who are having success with Article marketing do that. But you can't submit an article more than once to ezinearticles.

                ezinearticles seemed to have changed their editorial practice. Previously, they would verify your article against their database for duplicates. But now, they would randomly pick a snippet & scan through the web for duplicates. I've a few articles rejected even though I tried to rewrite them with 30% uniqueness.

                Like pwebbiz says, submit to ezine, get them approve, before posting in ur blogs/site.

                  They definitely are doing some sort of web based checking for uniqueness when you do a submit.

                  Of course if you submit to EA and wait on approval before submitting anywhere else, you should be OK. After all, part of EA is to give websites materials to use.

                  I think they are just working harder at ensuring that they are the first place to get content to keep google happy at them as a place to go for first run unique content.

                      I was under the impression that they only check for duplicate content within their database, not for uniqueness on the internet.

                      Yes, but if the article has been changed by around 30% - and the title is different etc. - you'll be OK!

                        Hi

                        Sometimes I post to my site first then submit to EA the following day. Other times I submit the article to EA first and post on my site the following day.

                        So far EA have allowed all my articles even though I use the same articles for EA and site.

                          I just can't bring myself to try it...

                          People do say it works well.. but I'm happy enough with my results to not want to piss around like that.. I had some real d=head knockin with the EZA staff when I first got going, so I like to keep Abby and team sweet.. they seem to be more forgiving of my insanity that way...

                            I always submit my blog posts to them after I have posted to the blog - I understood they are OK about that as long as it's your own work - not had any problems doing this.

                            However, I did submit one article with a link in the author box back to my blog. They took a look at my blog and saw that I was giving away an eBook called something like How To Submit to Article Directories Without Getting Banned. They refused to publish my article saying that my blog contained a product that was telling people how to sumbit re-written PLR and that EZA did not publish any kind of PLR material. They asked me to confirm that all my previous submissions were original and not PLR. I assured them that all my stuff was original, removed the eBook from my blog, and then they published my article!!!

                              There is no requirement that your article be unique in the sense of unpublished. Of course you can post it on your blog if you wish to.

                              The unique aspect means it's your work and not a rip-off of somebody else's. Also it shouldn't be reworked plr. Unique doesn't mean it doesn't exist anywhere else on the web.

                              Ezinearticles give very clear guidelines on what's required: http://ezinearticles.com/editorial-guidelines.html and http://ezinearticles.com/author-terms-of-service.html

                              They address that question very clearly.

                              The other question about the best strategy to use - post to blog or don't post - has as many answers as people asking. You only have to look through the threads on the old forum to see how many times that question has been asked and answered. Almost everyone has a slightly different answer.

                              Why don't you try both ways with a couple of articles and test what actually happens for you? What works for other people may not necessarily work in the same way for you so testing of any strategy is usually a good idea.

                                EZA is definitely checking the web for articles. I recently wrote an article and changed the title and author name on both. Submitted to EZA and GoArticle. It was published by GoArticles and EZA suspended my account.

                                Said it was pliagerised and I only got my account back when I proved that I wrote the article and that I was the same author under a different pen name and removed the article from GoArticles.

                                However, I find that whereas EZA takes 3-7 days to approved an article, at GoArticles I can show up on Google sometimes the same day.

                                  If they want to be the first place an article is submitted, they need to approve articles a lot faster. Until that happens I'll keep using my articles on my sites, since they don't do me any good sitting on my hard drive.

                                    I have had similar experiences with EZA rejecting articles because they have found this same article on the web (One of my Blogs) and I had to jump through the same hoops with them.

                                    However, I have had no issues since using the exact same pen names on both the Blog and EZA. So to get around that issue using the same name seems to be the cure.

    Yes its a good strategy.. if you can write nice articles then submit these first on your own portal to get search engines traffic.. moreover, why dont you write articles especially for the ezinearticle seperately..
