Tech Question. . .What to do with a screenshot?

I feel kinda stupid asking this but I's stumped at the moment and I know as soon as someone responses I'm gonna crawl under a rock.

If I take a screenshot on my computer how do I convert it to a .jpg or .jpeg?

if you have a graphics program open it and press ctrl v (paste)
if you don't have any specific program open paint

    then save it as jpg

Put it in a photo editing program like Photoshop or even Paint if you have it. Open a "new" file and hit paste or Ctrl - V. The image should appear. When you save it click on Save As. A box will appear giving you format options to select. Choose jpg and save it to whatever folder you want. Good luck.

    Hey,

Search for Snipping Tool (must be attached with W 7 ) or use the Tech Smith - Jing tool. Both are free and highly customizable (if you want to add some text or something) and to save without the help of a photo editing program. Its damn handy. Simply point and capture.
