Random Question: I lost all my Outlook files!

Greetings,
I know this is not quite online marketing, by my biz is definitely in jeopardy. I don't find the Microsoft site 'friendly' or quick. Thus I turn to the Warriors!

I had some Outlook errors yesterday. I tracked down the scanpst.exe file. I backed up all my .pst files in advance. I ran the app on all my files. I opened Outlook and found the most recent emails from today (sucked up from Comast email server) but EVERYTHING else (calendar, to dos etc.) are BYE BYE. How can I connect Outlook to the files that are on my computer so they get sucked into the place that they belong?

I bow down to anyone who can shed light on this sad tale.

Respectfully,
Radar

Hi Liam, Although it's been 3 months since I posted this question I believe I did add the PST files to Outlook. Now I have 2 sets of 'Recovered Personal Folder' 2011-09-09_0818 - radar9628's library but all the files were definitely not recovered. I'm not sure I put all the backup .pst files back in the right target location however. You gave me new ideas to consider. Thanks!

I think your Outlook mails have got corrupted. Use the free scanpst.exe tool to repair the corrupted PST files. In case, if it fails then use the third party pst repair tool.

Mike - I used that tool back in June and it did help. I just haven't tracked down all my backed up .pst files and put them back in the right place. Thx.

There might be a tool that repairs everything. I am not sure it was just a suggestion. You can also call the guys at MS to help you on this one.
