What Price Should I charge For Advertising On My Site?

I’ve been thinking about offering advertising space on some of my high ranking websites but I have no idea what kind of price I should be asking.

I would like to hear from anyone who has experience with offering advertising on their sites.

Here are some stats about one of my websites I’m considering selling ads on.

It’s an Amazon affiliate site
The website receives around 150+ visitor per day
The website ranks in position 1 in Google for multiple keywords.
The website makes several sales per day
In the last 6 months the website has generated £24,000 in sales

What do you think I could charge for a banner ad on this site?

      $500 a month for 150 uniques a day? $111 eCPM? Not a chance.

      4500 uniques a month = 4.5 CPM units.

      $0.50 eCPM = $2.25 a month TOTAL
      $1 eCPM = $4.5 a month TOTAL
      $2 eCPM - $9.0 a month TOTAL
      etc.

That is what you would charge for advertising. If making $2 a month isn't your gig, try affiliate products.

Doesn't matter he only get's 150 uniques a day. Obviously they are very targetted and are buyers. "In the last 6 months the website has generated £24,000 in sales"

Without giving away my keyword the site targets a kitchen appliance. I'll use "washing machine" as an exampe in replace of the real product keywords to show keywords I'm in position one for.

    washing machine
    washing machines
    best washing machine
    washing machine reviews

I rank #1 for all these keywords & more so I was thinking of contacting some websites that sell washing machines as my sites ranking is of obvious value to them.

I'm just unsure as to what price I should be offering

If you want more, go for an affiliate/Amazon type of program.

        What's CPM?

This site is an Amazon affiliate site which makes sales daily.

I'm just looking to see if I could make a little extra from the site by offering sidebar advertising to related websites.

CPM never good for High PR Site. It can not get you satisfaction. Affiliate is always best! Only go through with affiliate. Don't bother your User by puting some junk ad.

The add would not be junk. I take pride in my websites & would only offer 1 add space linking to a high quality website.

I've been paying $1 per 1,000 average monthly visitors on all the sites I'm advertising on. It really depends on what you want to charge and what you can get. I have dozens and dozens that sell to me at that price and many more that want a lot higher price. I just choose the lower priced ones to start my testing.
