Looking for Insight on PLR Niche Topics

15 replies
Hi Warriors,

I'm looking at putting together a PLR store. I'm trying to identify niches that are desirable. I'm open to any and all ideas as to where to start.

Also, what do you guys recommend in terms of building a list to get things started?

    The popular niches are always going to sell, like:

    * Internet Marketing
    * Weight Loss
    * Dog Training
    * Dating/Relationships
    * Health/Fitness

    I would suggest starting with some of the more popular niches like those above.

    For building a list I would add an optin box to your site and perhaps create a free report on what to do with PLR. You could also offer a freebie to begin with just to build up some names on your list. Also set up your delivery so that your customers can optin to your list when they buy. I use DLGuard which is integrated with GetResponse so when my customers make a purchase they can join my mailing list.

      I agree with Sheryl. Once you get started in the more popular niches, it's pretty easy to gain some momentum on top of finding what you most enjoy writing about. Your articles will be a lot better if it's a topic you're either interested in or knowledgeable about. Good luck!

        Why put yourself through a lot of work like that? This has been done already by others before you, why don't you find a programme to plug into and save yourself a tone of headaches?

    I found the best way to build my list in the beginning was to create a PLR pack and offer it in the WSO form here in exchange for people signing up to my list. Many of the people who signed up went on to become my first customers.

    As for niches, if you're planning on selling PLR packs here then it wouldn't hurt to take a look around the forum and see which niches people are talking about the most. You can also see what's selling well in the WSO section in terms of PLR, though I would make sure you do different packs to other sellers. I.e. you could have more than 1 seller doing a "weight loss" PLR pack, but you each have your own spin on it so that you stand out from other sellers.

    Hi - I think Bill put out a WSO called 'Massive Niche List' or something like that. Contained around 800 sought after niches... regards Allen

    The list of popular niches for PLR is long these days thanks to the increased demand for *quality* content. As was said above, the evergreen niches are always popular; Health, Wealth, and Relationships. Some other hot ones include Gaming, Tech, and of course, Pets.

    One quick 'reverse engineering' tip on finding what Niches are popular is to visit some of the top PLR sites and see what niches are being sold out. Do this across a few different sites and you'll pick up lots of ideas of hot niches i.e. where PLR packs are being 'Sold out' normally means they're hot and popular.

    So all you need to do is go to Google and type in something like:

    plr + sold out

    and you'll get loads of PLR sites in the results showing you what packs are sold out.

    Check out what other PLR sites are selling. This is a great way to gather ideas. If others are creating PLR on a specific niche, you know it's a moneymaker.

    Also, when building a list, be sure to have a text field where people can request topics as they sign up. This will gain you another subscriber as well as give you even more hot topic ideas.

    When picking which PLR packs to start writing, I did a lot of research. I looked at other PLR shops, read the forums to see what niches people were talking about, and I also emailed my list of clients that I have written quality for, asking if they know about or use PLR and what types of topics they would buy PLR for. The best thing you can do is set up some popular niche packs and then start asking clients. Put the option to suggest a topic in your opt-in form. When you email, perhaps add something asking for suggestions.

    If you're thinking of IM, then social media marketing is hot. SEO is also hot. Offline marketing is growing.

    Dating and relationships is real hot. Diet and exercise... There are tons of niches. Just about everything that interests people has PLR stuff available. Maybe check some out and pick some that YOU like. Good luck.

    The best way to get started is to pick something popular that you interested in. I love writing about health and video games, so most of the packs I started with were about diets, fitness, and a bunch of video game PLR. Once you get some buyers you will be getting recommendations which really helps.
