Video Mktg vs. Article Mktg - Which is The BEST? Advice for My Test Campaign Stats.

I was looking for this answer for long time. Video Marketing or Article Marketing or the combo of both????

Which is the best choice for getting quicker and long term results.

For past 2 weeks I carried out a test campaign which included article marketing as well as video marketing.

Here are my Stats:


1) My Test Article Marketing Campaign Results:

Article Views: 1231

URL Clicks: 164

Live Articles: 18

Pending Articles: 8

Opt-Ins generated - 36

Revenue Generated : $26 (only)

Time Taken from submission to approval - 2 Weeks



2) My Test Video Marketing Campaign Results:


Number Of CB Product Promotion Videos Posted - 4

Number Of Views for total 4 videos from Oct.2008 - Dec.2008 : 6863

Revenue Generated - $114

(All videos are posted to Youtube Only. Not any other video site is used for promotion)


Now My confusion is which one should I pursue first in order to get quicker results.

I know article marketing works damn well. But it also takes time to get the required benefits.

In my opinion video marketing produces much faster results. And Videos are ranked higher in search engines as well.

As this was only a test campaign I carried out for last 2 months and now I am seeking an advice from all you experienced and well versed marketers.

My main goal for Jan 2009 is till the month end I will have to earn as much as possible for my upcoming projects. So for that I will have to find out a campaign which works faster and produces faster revenue for me in the next month.

Is $1000 target possible only with video marketing in a month ?

If yes then How should I pursue with it?

How many videos I should produce to achieve this target?

I mean I am somewhat confused about whether to go for Video Mktg or Article Mktg first.


More in depth advice would be appreciated.
