    Hi Mike

    That is an interesting finding

I have been using man hours for so long and never notice that before.
Just wonder if I change to Person Hour, will my client question me what does that mean

I guess you guys haven't contracted with UK Government departments in recent years!

I've been totally indoctrinated into their way of talking at times because of my dealings with them, so politically correct copy almost comes naturally to me. It's scary!

The amount of times I've been in conversion with someone, more often than not someone of more advanced years, and I hear myself say "You can't say that anymore!" I sometimes forget that people live in the real world, talk real language, and don't speak with a sanitised vocabulary. Thank god! (Oh! I don't think you can say that!)

    LMAO

Can you imagine the meeting they had at Microsoft to make this decision? lol

It's funny because I actually try to be gender neutral in my writing, but I still find this ridiculous.

I read an article recently about a company who's word processing was set up to change "gay" to "homosexual".

Unfortunately, someone wrote an article about a man who's last name was "Gay".

That's why I like MS - it teaches us everything we need to know... I once wrote a report that had the word "badass" underlined in it. Right-clicked it, and sure enough MS replaced the word with a small photo of Chuck Norris.

I heard Chuck Norris sleeps with a night-light on. Not because he's afraid of the dark. It's because the dark is afraid of Chuck Norris!

While we're on the subject of MS Word 2007...

For all you "Lorem Ipsum" lovers, there's a built-in function to generate it.

                Type in:

=rand(no. of paragraphs, no. of sentences)

                e.g. =rand(5,10)

...and you'll get 5 paragraphs, with 10 sentences in each of "Lorem Ipsum" glory.

                Knock yerselves out!

Just add that to one more thing Microsoft added to the radical changes they made to the 2007 version of office...

I'm still not sure if I love it or hate it yet.

    Person-Hours

Say it ain't so Bill Gates! How PC do we really have to be? No offense to the females of the species, but that just blew me away. Man-hours, man-days, man-weeks and so on are Industry Standards (or where).

    I guess I'm too easily amused :p
    Not at all.

    You're simply TOO easily manipulated.

All of this PC stuff isn't about 'not offending' minority groups, it's about controlling our minds and our very thoughts.

I was almost laughed OFF of this forum a good while ago for mentioning 'The Thought Police'.

Well many of you have now had 'experience' of these demons, and they 'do' exist.

(Think what you're NOT allowed to put in your E-mails now)

To those of you who are not easily manipulated. Who want to see your family grow up in a FREE world. NOT the restricted world we're all living in now, then check out this video.
