Say I wanted to search for the most viewed videos on Blank marketer or blank product how would I do this? How does youtube determine their placing of videos when we keyword search? The videos with the most views aren't in the top spot.

Ah YT search, the secret here is back links – views and likes play their part as well. You can search YT by view count – Top Right.

Great question. There are alot of different factors that you tube looks at.

    1. relevancy - make sure your title, tags and description all match what you are trying to rank for.
    2. Popularity - views, likes, embeds, favorites, playlists, comments
    3. And of course, backlinks :-)

To see the most viewed video from a marketer, you'd go to their you tube channel and search that way
To see by keyword, you'd use a software like video shadow that can sort the top 50 videos according to views. Or, use the sorter in you tube at the top right.

    Hope that helps ;-)

Keep in mind You Tube is now the SECOND highest rated search engine in the game.....second only to GOOGLE.

If you're looking to find out what the most popular Dan Kennedy Video is....I would simply use the most obvious key word that comes to mind.

His name. Punch in Dan Kennedy and see which videos are kicking ass....in terms of views...but click the video itself to get the real number.

      As for products....same thing.

Every video has a view count.....although don't be fooled by the related videos running on the right side....as u might see one that says 42,0000 views..and when u go to click it....don't be surprised if the number of views is actually much higher.....as for some reason You Tube often lags behind.

I have a video showing up on the right side of the page that say 120 views...but when you click on it.... the number is 520 and that's the real number.

So just make sure to click on the video itself....which refreshes it...and you get the actual true count.

You Tube claims to update every x amount of minutes for popular videos....but testing shows that's not always the case.....

As far as key words...et al....once you find the highest rated or viewed video.....simply check out the tags and swipe them.

Better yet...swipe the tags from the top 3 most viewed videos in your niche as there will be some overlap and those are gold...

I personally don't go outside of You Tube for keyword research...because truth be told the top videos are literally giving you all you need to know. It's all right there....

You would type your search query, hit enter and than choose ''most viewed'' from the search options...(check out vynora.com)

Make sure you use the search to find video and piggy back off them.

I have had huge success piggy backing off vidoes that have huge amounts of traffic.

Celente just mentioned one of the best strategies any of us who have utilized You Tube Marketing know for sure works......piggy backing....or hijacking...and NO...it's not black hat. It's perfectly within the rules so long as your video response is somewhat related to the video your gonna respond to. (Don't put a bar fighting vid as response to a video on knitting....as what's the point....that's not your traffic anyway.....knitters wont buy. And you'll probably get slammed with a spam mark.

Basically you are looking for a video "relative" to yours....same theme, same hobby etc.......but you are looking for one that has a TON OF VIEWS and the idea is to post your video as a VIDEO RESPONSE rather then doing what most do...just comment.

Now keep in mind that the default is currently set for approval only...meaning if you submit a video response and it says approval required....unless you absolutely have to be there...move along to another video......with a lot of view and try again.

SPORTS is huge.....I recently posted a video response to a Michael Jordan video posted over 4 years ago with 8 million views. I don't even think the guy who posted it is even active anymore .

That one video which I ran as a test (has nothing to do with the theme of my channel) has gotten over 1000 views is a matter of a few days.....all because the Jordan video continues to get views.......and there I am...right below him......and peeps simply click it. Do that with 10 videos or more and you'll begin to generate massive traffic.....I've done over 30K views in 8 weeks on one of my channels simply using the video response/piggy back method. It's stupid simple....and have built a decent sized list.

Here's another trick...if you do your own content like I do.....find one of your videos that's doing well...and post another of YOUR own videos as a video response. This is often a good way to get the numbers up on a slower video in terms of views.

My biggest tip is always the same.....what is your objective?

A video with a million views is worthless unless you can monetize it...and I love to siphon traffic off those types of videos. Shocking how many videos on you tube do not lead to an offer....but then again that's good for US as marketers.

And you'd be surprised how few people are sitting on videos they could literally leverage for big profits.....via listing building, affiliate marketing, creating authority figure status etc....but they are clueless.

Always start your description with your website..or squeeze page which is the way to go. IN the description re: your video make sure you write: http://www.126683454.com as that will create a hyper link. Some people continue to leave off the http:// and wonder why the link is NOT live.

Also just because a video of a certain person or product shows up as having THE MOST VIEWS does not mean it's the best video...and often times it is NOT. Often these high viewed videos are promoted ones...and don't be afraid to scroll down....and get a mix of high views but spot on quality aka relevance. (I do not trust the most viewed button in the least...it often leads to the most low quality of videos....seen it too many times to trust it.) Use common sense rather then blind faith in the Tube's idea of the most viewed video equating into the best....not so.

Good luck....and YOU TUBE is a great place to exploit micro niches and " how to hobby niches "that are passion based. You'd be surprised at the number of strange niches with video content. You can start doing a series of videos....people start to trust you...and I always advise you begin by providing value in a niche you yourself enjoy.....as it will come across in your videos. Built up your view count...and then make sure you have a squeeze page at the very least...and a call to action....even if it's just to give something away in the beginning...etc.

You can also search GOOGLE.....and simply scroll down and hit videos.....and you'll be able to see what videos are showing up that way...and more importantly....swipe their keyword tags.......

And finally remember.....5000 views with a link to an OFFER is worth more then a million views that offers nothing but a video. Capiche.

      Rock it.
