Why, OH WHY, in tarnation do ya keep on locking them threads afore I get posted in them? There has been three whole times when I was a postin somethin downright witty, funny and shore to enlighten only to hit the Submit button and find out the dadgum thing was deleted or locked up! What in the name of Granny Twitterbutt is up with that there?

And dontcha go thankin I'm mad at ya cause I ain't! I'm actually, sorta, kinda scairt of ya and I shore don't scare easy! I carry ole Lulabelle around with myself wheresoever I go so taint much that puts fear into my heart. It's just that you bein one a the head dogs runnin in the pack makes me wanna give ya bit of respect!

Actually, I just wanted to be thankin you and the rest a them thar modulators for all ya'll been doing round these here parts! Ya'll gets lots a complainin and bellyachin and it's appears to myself that it is purty much a thankless callin! Well, Imma thankin you and the rest a the big dogs and I just wanna be tellin ya... I LOVE YA, MAN!!! (Dontcha go worrin cause I am not the sorta fellar what goes wonderin round behind the little animals)

Take care!

      Thaddaeus,

Paul doesn't do it personally. This forum software has a built-in Thaddaeus Wit & Enlightenment alert - whenever you write something containing both elements, as soon as you hit 'submit', the Forum automatically locks the thread.

      Martin

      P.S. This thread-locking doesn't work on Mondays :-)

Be quick, though, it was a dime sale and it's already reached $3,425.25 (must be a lot of Thaddaeus' on this forum ).

          Paul

It was rumored you were the creator of the TWEAK script that's on the rave

Only makes sense when you think about it that you would be the one locking threads. Alas, you got tired of it so created the software to automate the system.

Now, being a Southern man myself, and one quite happy to expound at length on the inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and downright lies in the historical record of the War of Northern Aggression... it does pain me to observe this.

Thaddaeus... some of us do need to maintain a certain decorum that is, shall we say, palatable to our Northern associates.

And while stump-jumpin' Jethro may indeed be someone I respect and admire for his stump-jumping abilities, and I have myself been known to jump the occasional stump, the Yankee has never been known to do serious business with such a man. Or at least, not openly.

We are not all so fortunate as to have been born and raised in the Ozarks or the Blue Ridge, after all.

Y'all ain't been keepin' up own baseball salaries, has yeh?

Currently on the active roster for the Yankees:

            Boone Logan (Helotes, Texas)
Jorge Posada (Puerto Rico is south, right?)
            Brett Gardner (Holly Hill, SC)
Chris Dickerson (Hollywood. Well, it's southern CA)
Luis Ayala (Mexico. That's California's version of the Deep South.)
            Lance Pendleton (Houston, TX)
            A.J. Burnett (Little Rock, AR)

... and last, but not least...

            David Robertson (Birmingham, AL)

That's not counting players from islands outside the US, or places so far south they're in another hemisphere.

$7 Billion in gross revenues for last season. That's almost $5.5 million gross per active player, counting the 40-man rosters. A lot more if you go by the "active" rosters of 25 per team.

That seems fairly serious on the business side.

The uniforms are still rather revealing in a suggestive fashion, but the players simply do not engage my attention as keenly.

Indeed. In the UK, a skirt is an article of women's clothing. In Arkansas, it's a protective covering for the foundation of a house. In Stumpwoody, it's a fancy way of sayin' "Sneak around the edge of the Sheriff's land whilst yer stumblin' home from the still."

I think I'm falling for your charms..
That there is entirely possible! See, I always been a using mighty powerful charms. My most favoritest is the one where I tie a string around my big toe, do four whooptiedoos round the campfire and then do my secret hillbilly dance nekkid beneath a full moon! Whoo weee, you talk bout a powerful charm. I gots to tell you that whoever I be sendin that charm too will immediately want to be gettin into my britches (That there is why I always carry an extra set of britches with me so as to have an extra pair for them folks to wear too)

I thought you carried that spare pair of britches round for another reason altogether.

This could be fated, you do your secret hillbilly dance nekkid beneath a full moon with a string tied round your big toe. It's rumoured that to make my secret potions I dance round the graveyard naked except for wellies under a full moon. What a match
