How profitable is the fashion/art/film niche?
These are my primary interests and as everybody says, IM would be enjoyable if you explore a niche that you have interest in. Where would be a good place as an affiliate in the fashion niche? Clickbank hardly has anything worthwhile for someone into fashion, art and film.

Amazon.com has tons of product offers and books for this niche. You may also affiliate directly with some of the brand names in the industry itself. It is extremely lucrative if you can compete with the big hitters.

Paul, I know this thread is from last year, however, I want to ask you this: When you refer to products I guess you refer to clothes too. I wonder how do you keep your autoresponder series synced with the season, since it's an automated process.

I know there are products that don't go out of fashion that quick, such as accessories, watches, jewelry etc, but what about regular clothes?

As for books, there are many of them available on Amazon, the only problem I have with them is the pricing - it's too small. I know you've said before that people usually order more stuff because of Amazon's powerful suggesting system, but still, how much could they possibly order more?

One idea that sprung to my mind was when giving out links in the email promotion, they will point to a dynamic page that changes with every season/month/whatever such as "click here to find out what clothes are fashionable this month", or something along those lines.

Another thing I'm worried about is if people (men in my case) want to buy online, or prefer to go in a brick-and-mortar shop and get their clothes from there...

You certainly won't find much to do with fashion on Clickbank as Clickbank is geared around info products.

    Have a browse through:

    AffiliatesDirectory.com - The Affiliate Programs Directory: Lifestyle/Beauty and Fashion/Fashion

I'm sure you'll find plenty of potential sites in that list.

IM is much more enjoyable to work with a niche you are passionate about and have strong interests in! You should just focus and pick one either film or fashion and build your site with original and unique content article.. Maybe start from affiliate networks first and work your way up directly to brand name stuff.

    Hi,
If you have enough resources than fashion niche is the best one option. It can provide you a wide range of revenue in a a short time of period. You can not ignore the demand of clothing and fashion designing. So, I am suggesting you to choose fashion niche.

What is it about these niches that you're interested in. They're pretty big niches and would require you to drill down a bit.

It be easier to recommend something if I knew a general direction of where you're headed.

I think fashion very promising niche. In fact, without an online store, fashion can run.

I think it depends on what your looking to accomplish..? An easy question to fork in the road would be, are you a fashion gossip or a design/seller?

Having an authority site reviewing particular fashion would easily be monetized with passive ads or direct response...

..and of course actually selling the physical products(becoming a distributor of say, diesel jeans) is big business even on ebay today.

Plenty of money to be made in any niche.. even if its as basic as a zip code cpa submit.

If Fashions your passion.. I say dive in!

I would say that the Fashion niche could be good if you used Commission Junction as you can start promoting many of the top brand names, clickbank would be a waste of time for fashion anyway.

What is your main focus? Fashion niche is vague. Fashion blogs are very popular right now, look at fashiontoast, brianboy, sea of shoes, etc. I think they make money off of mostly affiliate marketing (commission junction and amazon) and product sponsorships.

Beauty niche is huge too. Elle and Blair, Michelle Phan, temptalia, etc make a lot of money from the adsense that plays before their youtube tutorials. They also do affiliate marketing and product sponsorships, and sell their own products.

There is even money in diy fashion. PS I made this has her own craft line and is a judge on the tv show Craft Wars.

There is a website all about making money fashion blogging heartifb.com
