Paypal echecks

I was wondering if any warriors have stopped taking Payapl echecks and what if any effect it has had on your sales.

I generally haven't had any problem until recently I have had several echecks not clear. I don't know if people are trying to get something for nothing or what. Of course I dont send out the download link until the money clears.

    I stopped accepting them quite some time ago and haven't noticed a drop in sales because of it. I didn't mind people using echecks but I was getting some really nasty emails from people complaining that my sales page promised "instant download" - and they expected to be able to download even if paying by echeck and accused me of being a scammer when they couldn't. I almost changed the sales page to reflect that echecks would take several days to clear, but I decided that it just wasn't worth the aggravation anymore. Now they pay, they download, and I don't have to listen to accusations. Win win all the way around. LOL

    It does suck that honest people who want to pay by echeck can't, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it on a person by person basis.
