I would tell them to get the "get rich quick" thing out of their heads and understand it's a real business that takes a lot of hard work and much time. It's not for everyone.

It does take people sometimes 4-5 years to finally get it..testing tracking, failing, losing money sleep sanity.

Everyone eventually finds their own way and system. That or hire a mentor and pay up to be an apprentice.

If you can't handle failing many times

...if you lose focus easily. The ability to concentrate is important in many ways. You need to be able to focus on a single site, system, or project when you start and you need to be able to sit down and focus on the task at hand to actually get your work done.

...if you are not ready to take some knocks, get up again, and come back with a better strategy.

If you're trying to get something from nothing, or turn a small amount of money into a lot... the reality is you turn a lot of money into a small amount, then back into a lot

Stop discouraging people... IM is relatively easy even if you work 2-4 hours per day.Instead of having to work as a burger flipper or having a boss that sits on your tail all day long, you can pay to outsource stuff (websites setup, content writing, seo promotion, etc) and still get a decent ROI at the end of the month.I would say, DON'T get into IM if you like being a slave and you're a small minded prick that is afraid of everything, otherwise.. GET into IM and make mad cash, since it is on my opinion the Gold ERA of our generation.

You can't sit still long enough, put effort into something, work hard on your BUSINESS, and see it through to profits.

I've been doing this six years, and for four of them, I was a lazy, button-pushing riches looker who found nothing and spent thousands on stupid crap that didn't get me anywhere because I wasn't doing any of the work.

The second I started WORKING, even as a freelancer, I started making a respectable income and able to pay my bills and keep me alive until something else came along.

I currently have 10 different minisites I'm working on, as well as setting up numerous blogs, social pages, creating my own products, and more. It is a lot of work, and keeping it all organized can be hell.

If you're not looking for a BUSINESS, something you can work on and build up and have it start paying you over, and over and over again, then Internet Marketing is NOT for you. Take your get rich quick stuff elsewhere.

To be awesome and make those Thousands a month or week, you'll need to put in a LOT of work learning and applying systems that will get you to that point.

I would say dont get into internet marketing if your mindset isnt right from the start.

Personally I think its more important than the nuts and bolts of internet marketing.

...if your not totaly motivated to changed your life right now. IM has many hurdels raodblocks and if you don't have the right motivation your not going to get through them.

if your research skills or energy levels cause you to have to ask questions like : "What is SEO?"

lol well honestly, don't get into internet marketing, please help us save the world from 'gurus' and 'scammers' don't buy stuff that promises you 'the internet dream'. Its dead just like the american dream, wake up and go get a job. OR if you are serious then become a IMer but don't expect much in the start, its all about learn while you earn or vice versa.

P.S i would really appreciate if you don't get into IM, i don't like competition. Specially those who don't know what they are doing and ruins it for everyone! (like the bum marketers & content spinners who led to the panda onslaught!)

So many have climbed to the top, lost it all and climbed right back up. The greatest businessmen/women have fell down and came right back up because they have the right mindset. Ever seen the Simpson's episode where Mr. Burns lost everything and a lil while later got his plant back? Lesson learned. Coming backfrom "rock bottom" though doesn't happen over night.

I would suggest you watch videos of Jerry Clark, Zig Ziglar and Jim Rohn, they are inspirational leaders and are usually always spot-on. I could go forever on this but I got work to do

Dont get into Internet Marketing if you cannot stay focused and if you cannot meet small goals and personal deadlines!

Don't Get Into Internet Marketing If ... your not ready to go to school (training, learning, failing, reading ebooks) for months or years then graduate, go through a whole bunch of interviews (trying IM strategies and failing), then finally getting hired for your career getting up and working everyday. (putting in hours daily on whatever strategy you are using)
