I think my business model needs to change, I need some guidance.

Hello,
I have a website that talk about a topic (I'm an expert on the topic..no for real ) I don't go into too much detail on the main page, I pitch them to sign up for the free exclusive section. In the exclusive section I have made a bunch of video presentations about 10 minutes each on different topics with in the niche.

My main plan was to give away GREAT FREE information to get them to subscribe, then Back end market to the list.. you know the routine. I plan on marketing them other affiliate programs all that relate to the niche.

NOW this is what i've been thinking. I've been reading a lot here and it seems that if you have your own product.. it will be much more profitable.

I have a great product, or so I think. People love the video's and the informaiton i'm giving away for free. Should I transition these video's and information into a e eCourse type of deal?

And If I do that, how will I build my list the same?

    Hi Imran,
    I do have a membersite (free) , it's what they subscribe to get access to.

    So, with a quality product upfront (like offer a course for $7) I get their email address and what not, then overtime just market more products?

    It depends I know people successful doing both.

    If you deem a market profitable through selling affiliate items then why not make your own front end and back end products and eliminate the affiliate program.

    If you are just testing the waters and not sure if the niche will fly then why waste your time making a product if it is possible nobody will buy?

    A friend of mine who is also a WF member here did the exact thing that you're doing.He offer FREE videos to teach some basic IM lesson that also promotes the affiliate programs and he made $3K easily few months back.
