Starting my own CB product - Looking for some advice

I've decided to create my own product for CB. I have experience with affiliate marketing and I have the ability to write a good eBook. I haven't done sales letter landing pages before, but I think after enough practice (or after hiring someone more qualified), I could do it.

My first question is for those of you that have sold products on the CB marketplace before. How much time do you have to spend on support for your clients each week, in comparison to the number of sales you are making each week? I know it will depend on many factors; I'm just trying to get an idea on how much time I'll have to dedicate to supporting the product after I sell it.

My second question is what method do you guys recommend for instant delivery of the eBook?

PS: I've been reading a lot of bad things about CB tracking issues, and some of you have recommended using your own tracking software. Does this only work for an already established CB product? If you stop going through CB, what method do you use to gain more affiliates? CB just seems like the fastest and most convenient way to increase the number of affiliates promoting your product.

    Nathan,

Thank you for the quick response! I have a question about one of your points - as far as providing the download on the "Thank You" page, do you implement some type of validation system that ensures that only people who actually paid for the eBook can download it? I'd be concerned about people sharing the link to the thank you page if not.

What are the rest of you guys doing as far as a validation system for your thank you pages?

        Hi Rush,

DLGuard is REALLY popular with a lot of people on this forum - it'll make setting up your Clickbank product a lot easier, faster, and best of all: secure.

Basically you add your product to DLGuard, DLGuard gives you a "thankyou page URL" to put into Clickabank, and then it gives you a sales link.

        And that's it.

DLGuard will then create a secure download area for all of your customers who buy through you.

It also allows you to offer secure bonuses products, if you're including bonuses in your sale.

I hope this helps - let me know if you have any questions about it!

        cheers
        Sam

Initially for new sales coming in, you will need to spend
more time, perhaps once a day to answer any email.

As time passes and as you tweak your sales page,
download page and have everything set up nicely,
you an put aside less time (perhaps only Tuesday
and Thursday) to answer email support.

Remember it is a business and plan yourself
    out of your business system.

You do want automated income afterall, don't you?

    Cheers,
    John
