How long does ezine articles resolve? Mine disapeared from google

Hello,
I had an article (my first) submitted on December 23rd.. almost immediately when they approved it, if I type in a phrase, or my name in Google my ezine article would pop up.

Now it's nowhere to be found on Google.. is this normal? Do articles kind of expire from Google after a few days or something? Just curious, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

    I did an exact match on an entire paragraph and it doesnt even come up.. now I know something is wrong

      New articles don't generally stay in Google's listings very long. What probably happened is, when you first searched your article was on the first page of EzineArticles. This always gets listed quickly by Google because EA is such a high value site. As soon as your article falls off the first page of EA, Google no longer sees its value.

      Just keep submitting. This is the normal process.

      You post. Your article is approved. You land on Page 1 of EA. Google picks it up.

      As more articles are posted at EA, your article slips over to an inside page. Google goes back to EA and lists whatever articles are now on the EA's first page - and sadly, yours no longer is relevant to Google.

      Post your articles to more than EA. Post them on places like ArticleDashboard, IdeaMarketers, SearchWarp and others as well. There are hundreds of places you could post. The more places you post them, the more likely Google will continue to pick them up.

      Write more articles. Remember that your articles will still be at EA and publishers will be looking for content for their own sites that they will find at EA. That's when you start getting the benefits of article marketing.

    When Google first saw it, it was probably on one of the highest PR pages, maybe the 1st page. When it gets dropped from the high PR page, Google also drops the rank. It will reappear if you chose the right keywords and the competition is not overly fierce.

    That's one of the pitfalls of EZA. While my thoughts are different as to why your article disappeared, it is not uncommon for EZA articles to fall very quickly out of the top rankings.

    Sometimes one of them will stick and stay at the top of the rankings for your keyword phrase, while it depends on the content, niche, etc... it is pretty rare.

    You will find different search engine rankings and time in the rankings for different websites you submit to.

    I believe it is better to have your article RISE to the top spot instead of debut there. That's why I don't submit my "killer" articles to EZA...just the semi-killer ones. LOL
