Is there any recourse when a site scrapes my content?

I happened to find out accidentally that a site which is hosted by Go Daddy scraped my content word for word. I sent a note to Go Daddy which they ignored. Is there any organization I can contact which will have a little more force than my calling these people? I realize that these guys could easily just switch to someone else, but I at least want Go Daddy to do something about it instead of ignoring me.

Any advice?

    Your local attorney's office. You can sue them if you want.

    Other than that contact the domain registrar and the web host (to the proper department, with the proper forms) and they will shut down the site rather quickly.

    The Google's Webmaster Tools has a place where you can report duplicate content.
    Use this.
    Some time ago, my entire website was copied (including my AdSense code etc.) and used under different domain name.
    I reported this website as a duplicate content and this website do not exists any more!

    Thanks. I looked up the Facebook and Go Daddy forms for DMCA violations and just sent out new complaints (I originally sent a complaint to Go Daddy customer service, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they simply didn't forward it to the correct address). Actually, it looks like this site is scraping content from all over the web as a random search shows his content is stolen from my site and others. I'll go fill out the Google report now as well.

    There is a 'Take Down' procudure, I don't know much about it except reading about it, possibly here. search has not found it, but I got side tracked with lots of other goddies

    Hope fulling someone knowledgeable can let us know. I was lead to believe that the underlying motivation for the host to pull it down was to avoid court cases for being involved in copywrite action when knowing it is a dodge !

    It happens - one of my web sites has been scraped over 2000 times, and that is just the ones showing up in Google. It's part of doing business on the web - just adapt and live with it!
