Need Opinion in LIST BUILDING Strategy

Hi,

Which one is a better strategy?

1) Have a domain name just to give out FREEBIE (to build list)

2) Have a domain name for FRONT END PRODUCT where I give out my freebie.


Basically, I have 2 websites:
1st for freebie product (it's a 10 part video course)
2nd site is my FRONT END product site...

i was thinking of just giving away the FREEBIE to my optin for my front end...would that be better or just focus on building a separate list for my freebie site?

    You could get more conatcts with freebies, but maybe not as good quality.

    You need to weigh up the pros and cons

    Hi BJ,

    Giving away a freebie is very effective at getting people to sign up to your list, however, I would add something that's a bit more valuable to your visitors than a domain name. I see a domain name as being super easy and cheap to get. Offering a free report or even a Word Press template to use with the domain name might be effective. I'm just brainstorming here, but the bottom line is that I would try to provide your visitors with more value.

    If you can, you can also use both tactics to see which one works best. Do a little testing of your own and tell us your conclusion. That's probably the best method to actually knowing if a list building option will work or not.

      Here's what you should do...

      Giveaway free product for the optin ==> One time offer ==> second one time offer ==> Your front end product

      When you give away free stuff in exchange for an optin - it's important that you convert your prospect to a buyer immediately. You must set the tone, up front that you are a seller.

    maybe i worded it wrong...

    i meant...

    i have website rookiedictator.com just showing 10 freebie videos...this just leads to the free videos

    and i have website called dictatormethod.com (my front end product)...this leads to my front end product

    should i keep these 2 sites separate?

    or should i...what i thought was...bring them together in dictatormethod.com giving out the freebie rookiedictator in my frontend product dictatormethod
