    Hi Van

If you put the same comment again and again which gives no value to the reader and has no relevance to the article, then you're basically spamming and the website owner will no doubt delete your comment before it ever gets published. He/she can also ban you from making any further comments on their site.

If you're looking to get worthwhile backlinks to your site, then make sure you pick blogs appropriate to your niche and provide valuable comments/insights which the blog owner will be happy to show.

    Cheers

    Bev

Well yes it does...it's spam. But also you are going to make the blog owner mad and your comments will get deleted. You could also be reported as a spammer to your isp and hosting and possibly lose your accounts. Eventually I would end up blocking your ip address also so you couldn't get on my site.

The police aren't going to come knocking, so its not illegal. Is it spam? Yes.

Ask yourself if you would appreciate that tactic on your website or if you were a visitor having to wade through posts like that. Would you click through to that site?

What do you hope to acheive?

Spam IS illegal. Just because the cops don't come or you don't get in trouble doesn't mean laws aren't being broken, and sooner or later it will catch up with you.

This is not legal advice, either, but it's good practical wisdom!

So, you are receiving a monetary gratuity for each of these comments that you post about pens and tv's? You don't actually make your money by flipping pens and "sold your TV with 304$"?

As Mr. Dan hit the highlights on or eluded to, you might want to check out the FTC regulations on product endorsement. Given that state of things in America at the moment and the Patriot Act you should consult with an attorney on such legal matters before continuing with your online endeavors... or at least read the FTC regs until you can comprehend the essence of the legal implications of what you're doing.

Are you including a disclosure that the comment is an advertising message?

Are you disclosing the relationship between yourself and the vendor?

Are said messages allowed under the terms of service of the site?

The best case scenario for you is that they ban you from posting more "comments." The worst case scenario for you is possibly that they sue you.

As for whether anything you're doing is illegal, you should consult with an attorney.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

    Do YOU think it's okay?

I think the fact that you're asking is a good thing. It shows that you are struggling with it. This is called your 'conscience'.

My suggestion is to listen to it.

    All the best,
    Michael

Since I'm not a lawyer, I have no real idea if it's legal or not -- but, I don't think that matters because no website owner is going to let you do it.

So you basically ask, is it ok to rob a bank? If they want they can call the police. If they didn't I think it's OK.

I have a questions to all of you:

For first..let's say that this website: WEBSITE has a lot of articles and they make daily updates with new posts. Also, they have a section where you can give a comment.

If i post comments everyday on the daily articles, with a settled text (eg: "I bought 10 pens with 5$, and i sold my TV with 304$. Here is the website: MY WEBSITE") - it is illegal or legal?
I mean..it is OK to do this or it's not quite right...?

In fact..if he want's..he can ban me or something like this..right?...

I'am waiting for responses from all of you.
    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Van Spire
