Is Your Email Marketing Going Horribly Wrong?

Hi

Im just beginning to write all my auto responsive emails but i have no idea how to formulate and make a system out of it all. For example do i write 2,3,4,5,6 emails then make a sales pitch? What do i send them etc...?

My niche is Gaming, well actually Pro Gaming and the first email is providing them with a free ebook i authored about how they can get into the pro video gaming industry and earn money.

After this i am basically stumped. I can't think outside the box for the moment. My main concern is that most things in the gaming niche are time sensitive. Like the release of a new game so i cant really do reviews.

My business model i plan to have is basically this;

  1. Squeeze page/opt in. For free informative ebook
  2. Create vale through high quality content filled emails
  3. Establish relationship
  4. Send sales emails with quality related affiliate products
Im in a good position because there is no competition at all, yet there are lots of gamers wanting to know about pro gaming. But i really do not know what to put in my emails... I cant even really sign up to a competitors list to see what they do because there arn't any.

Any advice guys?

p.s. heres my semi unfinished/waiting to be updated squeeze

You need a third party autoresponder service OR your own autoresponder software to send time sensitive emails. Like every 3 days or on 12th of January etc.

Then you can keep the subscription form on your site. Load your messages in your autoresponder. Then your visitors subscribe and receive ebook + the follow up messages. In between you can send time sensitive messages.

I love aweber for this and it can easily be done you just set it up for a day after joining your list and then the day after or two days later whatever you want.

    Hi GoinDeep,

Off the top of my head, in a gaming niche I would probably structure my emails into a weekly newsletter(on top of any ecourse you may be offering). I'd pass along industry news, with aff links where appropriate. I'd also add "sponsored" ads to the layout-IMO, this structure will allow you to monetize without being seen as spammy. This probably couldn't be done ahead, you would have to do a blast through your AR.

It's hard to give you specific suggestions, because I'm unsure about your sales funnel. You mention that you want to back-end affiliate products. Do you have anything in mind? Your plan is good, but maybe needs some details filled in.

I noticed two "get paid to beta test" products on CB, that may be worth looking into.

    Best regards,
    Kevin

So are there any warriors that specifically make money from the squeeze page/email marketing business model? And how can other warriors and i learn from you?

Purpose of list building and email marketing can be different for each other.

Some do email marketing to promote their own products.

Some to promote their affiliate products.

Or some other do sell advertising space in their ezines.

So most of the IMers do Email marketing for one or another purepose.

A squeeze page and a desire to use an autoresponder doesn't equal a business model. If you have the ability to build a list(your giveaway, and the tools needed), but lack a back end offer or any enticement to stay on your list(products and content), you really don't have much.

Have you researched the potential of the pro gaming niche? If you really haven't seen any problems that need solved, maybe it isn't viable. If you are absolutely stuck for ideas, after the free gift redirect to a survey and ask the market what it's after. Hope that helps.

      Yes Tenzo. My thoughts exactly.

I plan on sending a survey very shortly and then looking for or even creating a product based around these results. The Gaming and Pro Gaming niches are huge. Of course there are video games to sell, pro gaming hardware like PCs, Controllers, Headsets and even strategy guides.

But i am more interested to see if this 'business model' has worked for other marketers?

Because i personally am trying to model some successful IMers and i know lots of them use a technique like this or similar, usually more advanced then mine. But still as long as the foundation is there than anything can be built on top.

How about some basic info about how to get into a professional gaming league for starters?

Fom there, you could interview some pro gamers for tips on getting sponsorships and such.

Then you could hit them with affiliate products.

What do you think of that plan?
