Some of you own your own company and some of you are solo. But you all have a website. What mentality went behind creating your website?

Being unique and bringing fresh ideas to the nich being innovative and trying new things. Sometimes they work some times they fail but with great risk comes great rewards.

That is so true. My most successful sites give people EXACTLY what they want. What I'll normally do is look at all of the top 10 results and study what THEY have on their site for their kw....and make mine BETTER. Have always ranked and gained a lot of FB fans and repeat visitors because of this.

A good informative content, great design, easy navigation, and targeted correct audience are important factors form my point of view. Even it helps to reduce bounce rate of website.

My websites just showcase and provide buy links to my products, which are websites and mobile websites. Not a lot of "mentality" or strategy. Just show off my stuff and let people buy.

I wouldn't say mine is "so" great. But, it represents the hard work applied in learning, implementing, and sharing a talent by providing a service. It's a visual representation of a step along the journey!

My primary site will be 11 years old in August. That's 1000 years old in Internet years. It has about 30,000+ words of excellent content. It's only PR 3 because I've not been consistent in updating it. I guess life gets in the way sometimes.

I have started it just as a hobby and with time it went to my full time business! Still, i can't say that i have a "Great Website" because i know it can be even better if i am going to put a little more efforts into it but due to some time constraints i am not looking into upgrading it much.

it depends the sites you are talking about.

if you are building an affiliate site you just want to make a nice little presell with bonuses and a buy link.

for sites of your own have good copy and make it presentable

It's not about the websites, but rather the whole marketing system working synergistically; integrating all avenues of marketing concepts including offline and online venues to converge on one focal point - the sale. This value-enhancing formula has been replicated hundreds of times for the highest returns in the most profitable sectors while contributing to the best interests of all parties. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

My main site is "so greast" because it is the "niche" that drives my whole life - rock and gem hunting. It has put me in touch with some of the best scientific minds - and I love talking with the people in my forum - have met many of them in person and hunted with some. I LOVE my website. The whole PHP system got trashed once, and I loved the site too much to let it go so it got a rebuild. That site has given me the ability to send an email almost anywhere in the country that I want to travel to and insured that when I get there I'll have a great day of "off the map" gem hunting when I get there. Can't ask for more than that out of a website.

I would like to just say that my Blog is a place where I can be me, "you know free". A Blog is the one place where you let people know who you are what you think about things and also a place where you get to give information that can help give others that edge that they are looking for. I mean I looked at it that way, a place where you can shear your views about many things and still learn from others at the same time all in one spot. That is what mentally what I think, just me.. Enjoy....

Personally, I built my websites and blogs to have a place to put my articles I would always right for the fun of it. I was going to write a book but I just simply wanted to share my knowledge to every one on the internet! Also on top of that, because I did that, I had an opportunity come my way, that I could make money online. I studied that and now my all my websites allowed me to quit my past 9 to 6 job! I thought that was awesome. Now, I have everything ran for me and I just enjoy life in miami and cali in my two beach houses! I think back to when I was just writing articles and now I am living life to the fullest. I didn't know what getting money was so easy when you did it the right way!
