I brought two ebooks from fellow warrior Craig Mako today. One on SEO and one on Traffic.

My brain now feels frazzled with all this new information. They are great resources, but maybe I shouldn't have read them just before bed as my mind is all active and whats to get going!

That will happen in the beginning man.

I remember all the sleepless nights I spent staring at my ceiling, plotting and scheming for the future and how I was gonna cash in PHAT!

That was like 3 years ago now, and the crazy thing is I'm actually doin' what I envisioned WAAAY back then... Totally blows me away to think about it.

Anyways man, just know that phase will soon pass. The way I found to best get over that was to just get sh*t done. The more action I took, the more my mind was settled.

    GETTER DONE!

One step at a time... Take one idea out of the products you purchased and do it, get good at it and then pick another idea and get really good at that one too, until you've eventually gone through every bit of information in those resources.

That's the only way to get good benefit out of purchased products. Otherwise they will just sit there on your hard drive doing nothing and you'll still be confused/overwhelmed.

    Make sense? Best wishes.

I have this problem a lot. It keeps happening, not just at the beginning. One trick I found is that if my mind is swimming too much due to marketing ideas/scheming...etc, then I just simply wake up and get every thought out of my head. I either take quick notes on paper, or open up a new google document and write it down there. This shouldn't take more than a few minutes. You're not writing a book, just jotting down enough of your thoughts so you can remember them in the morning. Once I do this I find it 10 times easier to fall asleep. My mind can relax knowing that I've written it down so that it won't be forgotten.

Sleep is incredibly important for a sharp, creative mind. Do what it takes to get great sleep and it will pay off in the long run.

    Good luck!

Just don't go buying anything else and adding to the information overload I would suggest printing them out and sit down and read them again and then create a plan of action.

    Good luck!

go to starbucks, get some coffee, don't think about the ebook you just bought, forget about it for a while. After that, be calm, few hours later start implementing what you read.

    This should be working

Great advice!! Too many people here, especially new people read read and read!

The best idea is to get into the pit and wrestle with the bulls!

Learn all the technical bits later. Think about what your website visitors are looking for and give it to them.

Build a following, it will be easier to implement monetizing tactics wen you have a decent flow of traffic

I completely empathize. But I'm hooked. I love the learning process and absorbing as much as I can, but I don't try to do everything all at once. I start with the basics--master those--and then add to it, step by step. It gets easier....but never easy.

Haha I know the feeling. Got both of his products recently and my head was spinning for a while just from the sheer amount of content. I finally sat down and broke it up into chunks and wrote out a plan for my first site...it's helping me sleep better at night xD

I have conflicting feelings to respond. The first feeling is .....

Oh what books are they and I need to read them... <slaps hand>

Second feeling is, whatever one said above is such good advice. I've been there before myself. I've made the mistake of downloading ebooks to my iPod Touch and read them in bed. Those nights I had problems sleeping. Printing out the books and going over them with a pen in hand has helped me numerous times. Helps me to focus, identify the important parts and the to come up with a plan.

Don't overwhelm yourself and download too many materials. It's very easy to do. Find a single subject and master it. Then move on and expand.

Anyway, good luck with your journey!

Serves you right, fancy reading two diverse books before bed. You're obviously not a newbie burtie, as I see you have grillions of posts here.

Wot evrybody else says really. If I find a book that's got some juice, I often print it out, then sit down with a quill and parchment to make relevant notes.

If I had these two books, I'd start with the Trafic book, then follow up with the SEO book, as it's part of Traffic Generation.

See you're in Witney. If that's Witney, Oxon, we're not that far apart. I'm in the Forest of Dean.

    Cheers burtie

Take one course/ebook at a time, come up with a gameplan and step by step guide for you to follow (if the course/ebook doesn't already have one) and start putting things in place.

Take action. Put in the hard work and you'll start seeing results.

Just take the key points from both ebooks and write them down and then make them into an action plan you can stick to on a daily basis.

Then as you read more ebooks add other key points you find, add them to your plan and you'll find that you will have a workable and profitable strategy in no time, just make sure you stick to one method of making money at a time and you won't be so overwhelmed with info.

Overload is so easy to do. For me, it's nice to be in Honolulu because, whenever I need to rest my brain I go catch a wave. From time to time I find myself crunching numbers or ideas in my head while waiting for a wave but I instantly make myself stop because that is suppose to be my be my sacred time : )
