  When he finally bought the car 3 months later he was drafted into Vietnam. Luckily, he made it back to create me
  
  My 1st car was a 1980 Camaro with a 305, that I tore down and rebuilt into a 383. I later sold it at age 18 having driven it only one time... to start my own business....an Ice Cream Truck entitled "Nice Dreams Ice Cream"- LOL (What the heck I was 18!...don't laugh, I made $1,000 a week cash money, and surfed everyday)

I sure then and then some. My dream car has always been a 1967 Corvette stingray. I made enough to buy it but I made a wise decision and invested instead. The stocks still had room to go up and I didn't want all my money sitting in a car. Since then I bought a house, still no stingray, but it's nice to know I will get it.

I have been investing the money in other websites and stocks rather than blowing it!

I had already financed a Scion TC a year ago, but I was able to pay the loan off early all in one lump sum due to internet marketing. Not an expensive car, but a fun ride for the price.

Yes. I drove the 2007 Saturn Ion 3 off the lot on just my signature, when it only had 3 miles on the odometer...

Of course, my dream car was a Saturn, 5-speed, with sun roof and all-power accessories, and enough sitting room that I did not have to get out of the car to let my kids out of the car. LOL

My goals were probably much lower than yours.

Johnny, buying new cars in Australia is a waste of money due to the government granted monopolies to keep people in jobs, when it comes to foreign car importation.

If you purchase new, you are being price gouged.

Whats even more funny is that BMW is considered a luxury brand when they are as common as dirt in Germany and used as taxis. While they are considered good cars, they are not considered luxury by Australian standards, which admittedly are quite generous.

A couple of years ago, at a high point in my career, I had my eyes on a gently used, but very well maintained used Ferrari 360 Modena (Dream Car). I had put some money away to buy the house I was currently renting, but when I had made the decision to keep renting at that time and extend my lease for another year because the asking price for the house was still way too high, and the seller wasn't budging, I invested some of the money I had saved into different business ventures, and had about $107,000 left. This Ferrari had low miles (I believe low 30k range.) and all maintenance receipts. It was at a Ferrari dealership in Miami. The day before I was supposed to buy it, I backed out. Instead, I purchased a Ford Fusion Black on Black, Chrome Wheels, Sport Package, Leather/Carbon Fiber interior, and then put another $2,500 or so in Accessories. Banked the rest of the money for a rainy day

good choice, I love cars but i understand they are such bad investments. Id rather drive my two cars which are paid off. Pretty boring but its the better move. When I see a nice car(m3s, porsches, etc) in the parking lot, I think it would be nice to have one of those. But to me, unless I can go to the dealership and buy 3 of them cash, I cant afford it

My only real "dream car" is one of the older versions of a Volkswagen Beetle, but that's not something I'd drive all the time here, since the heaters are notorious for going out and without defrosters, I'd NEVER be able to see out the windshield when it rains (which is frequently).

However, I do love my Hyundai. I had an Elantra that I just didn't want to give up; I LOVED it. But I recently traded that in due to high mileage and got a Sonata that I am extremely happy with.

Here's the lesson everybody learns when they buy a high dollar dream car....

If it's a new car, it will depreciate in value so fast that after one year you wonder why you ever allowed your ego to write that big a check.

And during that time you realize that the mere act of trying to use it becomes overwhelmingly stressful as there is just no way you will feel confident leaving it sit in a parking lot after that first bozo puts a scratch in it out of spite.

I know you think I'm kidding, but if that car is not something you can afford to just have evaporate clean out of your life and not cause any financial heartache you're better off investing the money on something else besides your ego.

A Nice chat with a friend of mine the day before I was going to buy the exotic went similar to this, and it was the exact reason I changed my mind. Just isn't worth it to feed your ego. I've had my fusion ever since, taken it to Texas, the the Smokey mountains, even drove it to Seattle... With no problems. Very happy with the purchase.

Bought 2 bikes and 2 cars over the last 6 years through IM. Nothing fancy, the cars were all project / labor of love cars. The bikes were decent. I guess since I don't really have many modern cars I like, but being able to afford the projects in both time and money is a blessing granted by the line of work that I do.

I'm buying a bullet nose studebaker next.

Agreed, they depreciate the moment you drive them off the showroom floor. This is why Warren Buffett never buys new vehicles, even to this day. (He always springs for gently used, 2-3 year old cars that have already taken that massive initial depreciation hit.)

Probably not a dream car for most of you, but i live in a third world country and I do plenty of trips into the forest and savannah areas with mostly dirt roads for fun, camping, hunting, climbing.

I bought a 2010 RAV4 2 weeks ago on purely IM money. It's on its way from japan. I plan to do a ton of mods, including lifting it 6 inches. When it gets here, I have to pay 80% in taxes

I made enough to get my rig - a Jeep Patriot. Didn't realize it was a dream car when I got it, but I will probably never own anything but a Jeep again. It's a freaking awesome machine. I might get other models of jeeps in the future - but it's going to take one furious awesome dependable and versatile 4WD with great gas mileage at a reasonable price to get me to switch. Crazy great stereo system for a stock system, too - that was a bonus I didn't expect but really appreciate.

Yeah bought a Porsche 911 996 with the money I made from web hosting when I was 17.

I drove the car for a year, got bored of it and ended up selling it 6 months later.

Now I drive a crappy volvo 240 from 1989 and couldn't be happier.

Lesson learned: Don't buy stupid toys because you'll get bored of them before you know it. Instead, re-invest that money back into your business.

got my 300zx right hand drive for roughly 7K and dumped a few buck as well in it.

Internet marketing helped to make my life better and better. I bought my first car, I bought my first flat, I went to my first holiday in Phuket and a lot more.

Whatever I have right now, I owe to internet and marketing it

Yes, I drive Mercedes C220 at the moment, not the best but still very satisfied with it.

You can say that. But my biggest goal is; doing better than previous goal.

I am dedicated on my goals and they offer easier and better life for me in return.

A lot of people thinks that Mercedes is 35+ years old guy car, however I like them. Comfortable and safe. Very satisfied with my car.

I own one of my dream cars (see my avatar)

but I've had that thing since I was about 19 and I am still doing it up slowly, hopefully track ready again by the end of the year if they let me register the thing again.... Bloody tough ozzie restrictions... But a series 8 rx7 with a veilside fortune bodykit and a nice bp 20b with twin gt42s is what I'll get next

If a car was a priority for me it would be a huge pick-up truck or a suv

I made enough money to marry the guy I wanted who then bought me the car of my dreams as a wedding gift.

Funny thing about dreams, though, they change. Now I want a truck we can load the Segways into and hit the road.

Not my dream car (or anywhere close to it) but when I originally go into IM it was so that I could buy a car for my senior year in highschool (first car). I got into it and made enough completely through IM to get myself the car..bought it just a few days before the year started. 2 years later and I still have that car sitting in the driveway right now

Are cars really a bad investment?

I mean, if you keep the car for 30+ years in good shape, it'll be a collector car.

And, no, I'm happy with my current gas guzzler.

I like my 1997 grand marquee that cost me $2500 cash.

It runs well, has AC/CD. You can save a helluva lot of money buying used and still get a great car these days.

I suppose I would not mind getting a 2008 Infiniti G35 X if things continue to go well, but I'll always buy used probably.

Nope. But I'm getting it in no less than 3 months from now from internet
and offline marketing business I'm doing at the moment...

it's not expensive (about $5,000 - $15,000) depending on condition, but
when I saw one in-person about a week ago and the owner told me cool
stories about it, I just knew I had to get one of my own.

Not a bad choice for a 'weekend' car that will give you plenty of driving enjoyment, but just keep in mind that this isn't a new car, and older Alfas are notorious for mechanical and electrical gremlins, in addition to being very susceptible to rust. Make sure you have a good mechanic check everything out carefully before you buy one, as you don't want to end up getting one that may cost you more to maintain/repair than its initial price.

I'm not into cars. Never have been. Last car I bought for myself was way back in 2001. I bought a 1999 Chevy Tahoe, 4WD, loaded. Still have it. Nearly 200K miles. Still runs great. Still the most comfortable vehicle ever. One of us will die before we part company.

My wife, on the other hand, likes a new Mercedes every couple of years. I could argue, but it's cheaper to just go along.

I know all about finances yada yada yada.....it is human nature to want things that are not practical even when you know it is a setup.

Cost $15 million

Based on the cost of this car I guesstimate that my dream car would set me back $15-$30 million...

The day I can afford a car costing $30 million, and, still live well below my means....

A man in a Jaguar passed a Mini that had broken down by the side of the road. Being a kindly driver, he stopped and fixed a tow-rope to it and began towing it to the nearest garage.
After 10 minutes of towing, a Porsche passed them at high speed. The Jaguar driver was not going to be outdone by a Porsche, so, forgetting that he had a Mini in tow, slammed his foot down and the Jaguar and Porsche indulged in a high-speed race down the road, the Mini and it's occupant trailing wildly about at the end of the rope frantically trying to attract their attention and failing.
A Police car saw them and gave chase. The Police driver radioed back to Headquarters "Sarge, you'll never believe this, I've just seen a Porsche and a Jaguar neck and neck doing 150 mph - and a bloke in a Mini flashing his lights, blowing his horn and trying to overtake them!"

Morale of the story - Jaguar ; Porsche ... Speed Kills !
Forget the 3 series BMW coupe ; stay with your Mini !
