WP Themes For Offline Business Sites?

I bought a WP theme to do work for a client I got through the "Stupidly Simple Cash Cow" idea. However, as soon as I landed this client, WP updated to version 2.7 and everything is very different. And, the theme doesn't work properly with this version, and I am just not getting any help through support.

So - I need some possible suggestions as to free themes that I could use that might work for an offline business. It is a local flying club/flight school. They want a blog, and a forum as well, so I was hoping to use Wordpress to do the whole site and make it very search engine friendly.

Are there any themes that would work well for an offline business site - perhaps something that you can kind of remove the sidebars for the main pages, or change them from one page to another?

Any ideas would be great - I want to get this site done for them ASAP - and it is just taking too long waiting for this other theme to be worked out!

Thanks!

Marie

There are tons of free WP themes out there. Just google free WP themes and then search the top 4 or 5 sites for a theme that matches what your looking for. You can maybe search for airplanes, air travel, or something like that and come up with something.

Also congratulations on your new client.

Marie, one thing I like to do is look for themes where the general layout is clean, the SEO is good, and I can adapt the theme by changing the graphics.

For one site, I'm using a theme called This Just In! from Free WordPress Themes | WordPress Hacker. I can make the site into anything by changing out the graphics.

        Thanks, bookmarked.

My base theme has been QuickPress. Used it to make this and this.

    Hi

You could always go to monstertemplates and get a nice template from there for cheap.

There is a cheap version of Artisteer, and you can make your own theme...for any type of business.

$49.00 investment can be paid for with just one client! It's pretty impressive, and the full version is awesome!

    Hope this helps...

    Hi Marie,

I've been using the Mandigo WP theme a lot just lately. It has lots of theme options to do with layout and colour schemes and is free.

It has 2 sidebars which you can place wherever you like, and also top and bottom "sidebars" which are very useful for placing content such as sign up forms or whatever you want. I've been thinking of doing a video for my subscribers to show it off, as it's much better than a lot of the paid WP themes I've bought.
