As always, there are several active (and archived) threads here on the WF that are goldmines of information. They often take one aspect of online marketing and flesh it out with how-to's, resources, examples and follow up information. These threads focus on market research, product creation, web site setup, traffic generation, conversions and the like.
For the people who take this information and put it into practice (TAKE ACTION), the results can be very positive. I've seen responses in threads detailing individual successes that are really mind-blowing! This is one of the big reasons I love the Warrior Forum.
But, there's a tendency among some folks to whine and groan for more. Instead of being grateful for the treasure trove of profitable information being given away for free, they say "but, but, but...you didn't tell me exactly how to [fill in the blank]." Or "well, yes, this is a great way to get some killer free content, but how do make sales/generate traffic/set up paypal/etc.?"
Now I am not referring to people who are looking for a little clarification or who have honest questions about the information given. The give and take from this type of conversation often fleshes out these threads and adds even more value.
I'm talking about the ones who feel entitled to have everything handed to them. Who nitpick and moan about how they're not getting what they need without even taking a moment express a bit of gratitude for the effort and time it took to put together the post in the first place!
This board is filled with enough information to start and maintain a profitable online business for years to come. The people here are generous and often go above and beyond in order to help out other members. I've very rarely seen anything quite like it on any other forum.
So, if you feel the urge to complain about what you're not getting, pause and take a deep breath. Is your inquiry really legitimate? If it is, then ask away. If it's not, however, then instead of criticizing the OP how about going out and doing a bit of research on your own?
The people who take the initiative are the ones who are most likely to enjoy success!
I, and I'm sure many others here, would love to see each and every one of you exceed your expectations in 2009!
