What would you do with this list...

I have a list of 600 confirmed subscribers (emails) in the fitness industry. Started the list a few months ago. I've been sending them workouts and tips via email for the niche. However, I haven't sold anything to them yet.

My question is: If you had 600 subscribers in the fitness industry - how would you monetise the list?

It depends upon the Product & the way your are marketing them. Both needs to be revamped & checked again if you are not getting the results. Keep patience & have positiveness. Key to Success is in trying & trying.

The same way I would monetize any list... By sending them affiliate offers or by creating my own products within the niche to promote to them...

A good start would be to grab Jonathan Teng's ABD (auto bonus delivery) plug-in and find a good Clickbank product and get to promoting...

Oh, btw, the ABD plug-in allows you to offer bonuses on CB products and it verifies the receipt and add the person to your list

    Cheers

Thanks for all your responses on this one.

    MikeTucker:
I built the list with traffic from Google AdWords search and content network. Converted subscribers using a questionnaire style squeeze page.

Since my first post earlier today I've researched a good clickbank product. I sent everyone on the list an email with a link to the sales page. So far 5% (30 out of the 600 subscribers) have opened/read the email. No sales yet but it's still early days.

How often would you recommend promoting affiliate products to a list? I don't want to end up spamming my subscribers and annoying them.

Depends on how often you are always delivering value to them...

I don't have a list in the Weight Loss niche but for my "IM niche" lists I will typically send 2 or 3 content emails for every promo and at least one promo a week..

Also depends on the frequency at which you email them.

You should be able to mail 3 or 4 times a week (one being a promo) and still keep everyone happy...

      Good Luck

Never, ever sell them bad products, always ensure you vet the products personally as you will know if it is:

    1. A good product
    2. Something that will help them
    3. Not have them unsubscribing in their masses

    Just my $0.02c...

Maybe buy and review a fitness related product, giving an affiliate link each week/month. But tell them the truth (ie if its bad, say its bad) and perhaps tell them you are affiliated to keep their trust.

I would definitely promote an affiliate product that is relevant either from clickbank or and affiliate company.
If you built a good relationship with the list, you should absolutely get conversions....

I've got a couple of thoughts on this one. Let me know your feedback...

My subscribers have been clicking on the affiliate link and even viewing the sales page, but no sales. I think I'm building trust with my list and providing valuable content. Quite a few people email me with questions and I always respond within a few hours. I send out about 2 to 3 emails per week with valuable content; fitness workouts, advice on what to eat etc.

I'm wondering if I've got too many "freebie hunters" on my list that don't want to pay for anything?

I just bought and watched Mark Thompson's WSO list buildng product "List Building Debunked" which covers the subject of lists full of freebie hunters that will never buy very well. You may consider it a good investment of $17. Good luck!

Select a fitness related product wisely from marketplace like clickbank or commission junction and add the promotional link with your every messages you send out to them. The more relevant the product will be,the more chance to get sales.
