A Neat Way Of Using You Thank You Page...

Hey Warriors!

Just signed up to this guys list. He's and entrepreneur. I think he mainly works in stock exchanges etc. from reading through his blog.

After I opt in I get sent to a thank you page.

I've never seen this before. Maybe you have, but I haven't so thought I'd share it with the Warriors.

On his "thank you page", he simply asks while you're waiting for your confirmation email to be sent, to quickly give a tweet to your followers and/or a like to his FB page.

I dunno how many people do this for him, but I thought it was pretty neat so gave him a tweet!

Again it might not be new to most of you, but hopefully is helpful to some. Maybe even if it's just a reminder of how important it is to utilize a thank you page/confirmation/download page properly with an OTO or whatever. Some people forget these little things that can make a big difference.

All the best!

Jamie

I'm not sure I have seen it before, but it is a pretty good idea. Low stress, you are largely bought into the idea, and easy to implement.

A good suggestion, thanks for bringing it up.

i actually don't think this is that effective. it takes some time to like/tweet and people don't like that. also - people are a bit bashful about advertizing on FB and Twitter that they bought an online marketing course. i think most people think only "suckers" buy those - even though I don't agree.

Erm, I disagree with your line of thinking here. The ENTIRE reason people love Facebook, Twitter, and all other social networking websites is that it is quick & easy to post and share. I do agree that there is a group out there that won't like to share/tweet that they just bought an IM product...but they are usually just newbies who probably won't implement whatever they got anyways. Experienced IMers who have other IM friends might just share though, and that gets your product in front of a larger targeted audience. Assuming you have a quality product the method the OP has presented can be quite effective.

    Great to see this thread.

I saw you are talking about method I am already using. I am currently putting a community of thank you page link exchange partners together, which is a method you can use to enhance your ad swaps and other traffic generation methods, typically by 40% - 110%.

Let me know if you're interested, so that I can provide you with more information and help you join the community and have everything set up. Just please tell me your niche so that I can provide you with the right invitation link.

Yes, very good idea... I think we're just at a very early stage in learning how to best integrate social media with our overall sales processes.

I think the one you point out is pretty decent. It could be done better, I'm sure... but, certainly a good starting point. Some sort of bribery/call to action would probably increase the conversion there... but, overall, pretty cool.

    Hi Jamie ,

to answer your question i have not seen that done in a thank you page before

So thank you for sharing . I can over 137 facebook likes , not sure how the twitter works

It is a clever idea . a gentle reminder to think diffreently apply things slightly diffrenet from the rest

i also like how professional the page was and how he positioned himself as an expert while selling his book

    Nice

You are giving loads of ideas

    IT definitely can't hurt

One thing to consider is that I think some niches will do better with this than others

For example- if someone is looking at a weight loss product, they may not want to share it with the whole world. They may feel embarassed about trying to lose weight. Same with the IM niche- it may be their secret life.

On the other hand, if the person is a huge gamer, sports fan, etc. than I think they may be more willing to share it.

So basically- I wonder if this works as well in the more "desperate" niches- guess I should give it a shot!

too many times thankyou pages just sit there and go to waist.

Make sure you study this one. While i think he could have done a lot more with this, i think he has done enough to help with the viral free promotion aspect of the site.

    Good for him.

This is a reminder to all not to just download products. Study good marketers and see what tactics they are using and their flow charts, and where they take you and what they offer you.

Sometimes you actually learn more from HOW they sell you....not WHAT they are actually selling you.

    Nice reminder. Thanks!
