I think you'd better find a free sales page and start editing it. There are many of them around. Choose the one you want and start writing your sales copy. You don't have to start from scratch. Most beginners tend to create ugly-looking sales pages. You can find other professional ones for free. Look for them online and if you don't find any, try to contact me and I'll give you one for free.

A sales page is really just a webpage. The graphics or the css give it a style to make it look a particular way. Do you have an example of what you mean, either a link to something or a screesnshot?

OK, that doesn't have a border. It's a white table with a black background. I just made you a simple template in that style. Right click this link and select "save target as" or "save link as" depending on the browser.

That looks good what weblink29 put together. You will need a little more stuff in your header to validate but that looks just like what you were looking for.

Might sound underhand but you can check out the source code for a simple webpage and often copy and paste it into a WYSIWYG editor.

Then strip it and leave the main page layout (ie. White page with a black body background).

Since you are a newbie, just look for a sales letter template. It'll make your life easier so all you have to do is concentrate on your copywriting.
