Affiliates, what banner sizes do you use the most?

Hey warriors,

I am making the banners for my affiliates and I was wondering what are the banner sizes you use the most as an affiliate?

Any color preferences?

    When I use banners, I prefer those that look like text. A few hand drawn arrows or asterisks work well to highlight.

    160 * 600 Vertical

    I hate when the only vertical option is a 120 by 600 because most sidebars these days are 200pixels plus on the width and it looks out of proportion.

    I rarely use banners on my own sites, but for advertising purposes I prefer squares (300x250 and similar sizes). Definitely agree that banners that look like text work well. Stay away from banners that are heavy in graphics and look "professional" as no one clicks those in my experience.

    I am using 300 x 250 and has got better click thru compare to other forms of banners. 125 x 125 also not bad.
