Hey guys,

I put a free blog-flipping guide up on my site. I tried to make it really easy and to give people good stuff to get them started.

Please give me any suggestions, links, or tools you can think of and I will add it to the guide. There's already one Warrior mentioned in the guide. Thanks!

Great guide man! The only thing I would consider adding would be some more detailed info on the actual sale. Many people do not know how to execute a safe and secure web site sale. Also, I would mention the use of Escrow for large sales.

Thanks! Good points. I'll add that. And I'll tell them how escrow.com works. Good ideas.

I've got a question...I host with a company called Lunar Pages...they are pretty good..

I just called the tech support and asked them about a resellers account. The guys seemed totally clueless and dumbfounded. He then told me I can just sell a website with a regular hosting account.

    Is this true?

So lets say I go on sitepoint...flip the blog for $199...how do I go about transfering over the domain to the buyer?

I've got a nice blog set up that I'd like to flip ASAP.

    thanks

Ok, depends where the domain name is registered. I use Namecheap and I tell the buyer to simply sign up at Namecheap. Then I "push" the domain name to their Namecheap account. Very quick.

If you want to sell with a regular hosting account, sign up with a new Gmail address and different user name. When you flip the blog, give the buyer the User name and password. Just make sure you ask the webhost to delete your payment info.

    Great guide Paul,

You might want to include a how to of the tranfer process, I am working on getting into this myself and that is the area that is causing me the most pause in getting strated.

    Thanks
