Should a landing page have its own domain?

INTERNET MARKETING

I am getting ready to start a membership section to my blog.

So I need to know if it's a better idea to build the landing page for that membership service on a separate domain... completely apart from my blog.

I'm thinking that I'd like to keep the actual membership program on my blog because I plan to use a lot of video and I already have my blog hooked up with a CDN and it's blazing fast. Want to keep that speed for members as well.

I think you dont have too. You just need to upload a landing page and point that to one of your domain and you are set. Let say www.yourdomain.com/landingpage.html

  I always make one homepage for the niche I'm in with different articles I post on an installed wordpress-blog.
  
  The SEO-optimised blog is here:
  "http://www.example.com"
  
  The squeeze-page is here:
  "http//www.example.com/Squeezepage1"
  
  There are some banners redirecting to /Squeezepage1. The blog is for google, the squeezepage is for money .
