Am I Mental...Or Do I Just Have Psychic Powers?

Occasionally, I like to go through my list of affiliate products that I sell to
see if there is anything I should stop promoting because it's just not
performing anymore.

Well today I was going through my list and I noticed this one product that
I haven't been making any sales from in a while. So I was going to stop
writing articles for it.

So what happens?

Today I popped 2 sales for that product.

Considering how long it had been since my last sale of this product, I
thought it was a little freaky that this happened on the day that I was
considering dropping writing for it.

Now, before I ask if you've ever had a "psychic" experience like this, let
me tell you why I was thinking of killing promotion for this product so you
understand my mindset and where I am coming from.

I like promoting products from Clickbank that have gravities between 30
and 70 because I don't like going up against 300 affiliates. There are easier
ways to make money.

Well, this product was starting to climb up the gravity chart and as it did,
naturally I knew I'd start seeing fewer sales. And of course, over the
past few weeks, I did see fewer sales.

So I was ready to cut the cord and move on to a different product with
a lower gravity. I regularly rotate my products like this so it's nothing new.
That's how I'm able to make a decent affiliate income with Clickbank
products. I don't just stick with one thing forever, even if it's still selling.
I want things to be as easy for me as possible.

Yes, I'm lazy. I freely admit it.

The 20 Clickbank products I promote now are not the same Clickbank
products I promoted 3 months ago. As a matter of fact, this December
I finally cut loose a Clickbank product that I had been promoting for 5
and 1/2 years. I made only one sale of it this month and I finally decided
that it was time to let it go. This is a product that I use to sell 25 to 30
units a month. I even contacted the product owner, who I know personally
and told him that I was moving on. He was surprised but he understood.

For the record, he told me that sales for this particular product, overall,
have not been what they were back when I was selling 25 to 30 units a
month. So it wasn't just me.

My experience has shown me that you need to always reevaluate what
you're selling and move on if it stops selling. Try to sell a product that is
dying is as silly as beating your head against a brick wall.

Anyway, that's why I am always looking for new Clickbank products that
look like they have potential, kind of like playing the stock market. Once
they hit around that 25 gravity mark, I start to write my articles and get
ready to ask for a review copy. That way I can jump on it when it hits my
sweet spot.

Make no mistake about it. This is a time consuming business model as you
are constantly checking the marketplace to see, not only what's new, but
what's coming up the ranks. A product that had a 10 gravity last week
might have a 20 gravity this week.

But anyway, back to my question.

So, do you ever have times where you were thinking of killing promotion
for a product and suddenly you'll get sales for it and end up changing your
mind or at least giving your decision second thoughts?

Now I'm on the fence with this product and don't know what to do.

But I'll figure it out...eventually.
