I saw a lot of searches for 'you bars' in a nutritional category. Did one myself and that was the site. I know, it figures.

They've been around since 06 according to the cheesy 'about us' youtube video, so maybe I'm one of the last to hear about them.

Just a very simple site with a good business idea. You pick out the ingredients you want in a nutritional bar and they make it for you.

They have a 'popular bars' link for people who might not want to come up with a recipe themselves. That might be most of their customers. That also means they can crank them out on an assembly line. At least with those, they don't have to mix them in small batches.

They also have a wholesale section, and an affiliate program, and at least from the searches, they are getting popular.

So I guess 'you' is one of those things you can put in front of a domain name when the exact match is gone.

I was sharing a house with a few other people and one of the guys in it started making bars for health food stores. He made them in the kitchen. It is now a booming business. (About 20 years later.)

Inspiration for the arts and crafts people?

I just enjoyed the site and the whole idea. The basic set up just looks good.

Yeah... user-customized products are awesome... now I'm thinking about getting on board with the trend and providing user-customized content

Like - I'm thinking about coding an 'ebook maker' for my site where you check the areas you're interested in and it gives you something custom in PDF format - users can add sections for $x so they only pay for what they need.
