just wondering if having a Whois guard on your website effect your google rankings (SEO)?

No, it does not. Infact it helps a lot in protecting your identity.
Always have it. I always have it for all my sites.

No Whois Guard is a positive as far as surfers are concerned - there is lower probability that the site is a part of some spamming network. Therefore Google should give some SERP credit to these sites.

The real question is how much credit is given for having no whois guard, and how does this benefit compare with the disadvantage of no whois guard.
