H-E-L-P !!! I Want To Create My Own Products

I'm loaded with information from researching, researching, and
more researching.

Adsense, Affiliate Marketing, Ebay, PPC, Myspace, etc....

What I really want to do is create my own info-products.

But can a normal guy like me, with limited technical skills and
non-fancy sale page development, make some real money doing this?

So who has the best (and simplest) product creation/marketing
course?

    Hi John,

You don't have to be a guru to come up with an
information product - if it did, there's no hope for
    the rest of us!

You can create your own products by using audio,
video, PDF, interviews, re-packaged PLR, just to
    name a few.

For sales page, you'll need a good copywriter or
you can learn how to copywrite yourself - it's one
of the best skills that you can learn for your
    own online business.

No one has the best (and simplest) product
    creation/marketing course - I would say... it's
all about taking action with ANY of the material
    that you have.

Even if you've got a simple one but you take
action on it, you can still potentially make money.

Hey John, i thought you might like these little tidbits about creating your own product and testing your own products sales. Try your product out on ebay..

Make an outline of all the information that you want to present in your own marketing product.

Do a full write out of your product.

Make sure that you have someone other than yourself proofread the product writing.

After they proofread the product, sit on it for about a week or so and don't touch it. Then go back an read it yourself, to make sure that you are writing exactly what you want to write. If it is...lets go.

Put your product for sale on ebay with your own sales letter(make it like a $1.00 sale)...use keywords that match your specific niche....if you are getting alot of clicks and not alot of sales, try changing your sales letter copy. Test it untill you are getting a good click to sales ratio.

Make sure that your product is loaded with links to your affiliate products and your own personal Url's ie youtube, myspace, facebook.. you know the deal.. that way it will be income and personal branding at its best.

      John,
That sums things up right there. You have done quite a bit of research so far. Pay attention to the suggestions that you are receiving on this thread and then take action.
      Best of luck,

You have what's most important, knowledge. The rest you can outsource. Just get Open Office and start writing.

OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite

You can make a PDF from your text. If you want some charts you can hire a Photoshop guy from elance:

Elance | Connect with Qualified Professionals

Same thing with video. I've done video production for 10 years. I would go to DVXuser and hire someone:

Jobs - DVXuser.com -- The online community for filmmaking

I just created an info product for a friend. Check it out here:

Newbie Money Streams -- 8 Proven Systems -- Make Money Online Site

PM me with any questions. I can help you create a product.

Writing up your own info product really isn't that difficult at all. Seriously, if I can launch a product then you can too. I'm still fairly new to the world of internet marketing and I was still able to put together a pretty darn good product and sales page (imo).

This is what you will want to do in order to put your research into good use and start creating your own product.

        1. Create a simple outline of the material you have researched. Figure out how you will present your findings in the form of an eBook.

        2. Write up your eBook with whichever word processor you use and then find a free tool online to convert it into PDF format.

        3. Build your sales page using either a conventional static html site or by finding a Wordpress landing page template

        4. Sign up for a merchant account with either Click2Sell, ClickBank, PayDotCom, or any other payment processors.

Now, you said that you aren't too familiar with creating a sales page so you have two options. You can either do some research regarding how to build a sales page or you could hire someone to build it for you.

This is really all there is to creating and selling your own product. I won't lie to you though. Implementing this process does take quite a long time to complete and can be pretty overwhelming at times.

I've just completed my first product (eBook in my sig) and I've learned this first hand. There are a ton of different little things to worry about when creating and selling your own product.

        Anyway, hope this helped.

    Hi John,

I was really particularly impressed with the Complete Guide to Product Creation by Justin Michie and Steven Wagenheim. http://www.product-creation-tips.com/

It pretty much covers everything you need.

Kevin Riley is well known for helping people create info products just like he has and you can
get some good stuff from him here http://productcreationlabs.com/

    Brian McElroy also recently launched

Overnight Product Creation Overnight Product Creation

and it was nice because it's got videos and several modules

and also a support area to ask questions.

Any one of those won't steer you wrong and were all created by warriors who consistently contribute value and have been successful in internet marketing.

Kevin Riley. Look for his home study course, or wait for the course that is being put together from the private 6 week program he just ran. His material is great.

      Thanks Tenzo

As an update, the 6 week program is being packaged and will be available towards late January. It actually ended up as 7 weeks (threw in a bonus week).

Writing up a product is no easy task. But....
        Any bum can do it.

All you need is passion and knowledge about a topic or subject. I wrote up a product and tried selling it. Turns out nobody wanted to buy it. And the best part about that? Now im giving it away for free in return for EMAILS(which i hope to turn into gold)

    1) find a niche that you always wanted to know more about

    2) google it- read whatever you find- take notes or talk into a voice recorder

    3) go to youtube and watch videos on that topic

    4) start creating a report about what you know on that niche.

    hows that for a start?

    John,

My article, "The Five Easiest to Complete Information Products" tells you FREE (and no opt-in required) how to get started with a type of infoproduct you can finish easily and quickly. Some of the five formats are common and well-known, others not so common or well-known.

This article was one of the most popular on Michel Fortin's Copywriters Board before he closed it down, so I have now revived it by posting it on my own site:

The Five Easiest to Complete Information Products | Get Started in Information Marketing

One of the biggest pitfalls in getting started in creating infoproducts is to start with an overly complicated, larger than necessary project. Keep it simple!

You've gotten a lot of great advice. I write about it in my free report below. It's not as hard as you may think. Pick a niche, find out what people need or want, and develop the solution ---- quickly. It's important to just get something out there and continue developing, tweaking, testing. Also, check out Lee McIntyre's 24 hour product creation.
