The List - I was WRONG...

Hi all,

You guys have been telling us about "The List" for years, and for years I stupidly ignored your advice - I thought I new better with my measly PPC-drect-link affiliate sales.

Hmmphh...what an arse I am.

I finally 'caved' and bought an auto-responder service for a year, and the results make me want to slap myself.

I'm sending a tip-article a day to my list and I'm seeing conversions as high as 1 in 20 hops...a BIG improvement for me.

So, I shall now shout it from the rooftops: "The Money's In The List!"

Once again, thanks to the WF Members (buys a round)

Perhaps you can share some information with this user here:

There is alot of info on this, actually, but that user could "profit" from your recent success and any tips you can share tonight.

Just an idea. Congrats again... and go BIG!

That's what I've been learning too - but I also spread around a few affiliate links (non list) and they seem to work also.

Best thing is not to put all your eggs in one basket.

      Kind regards.

Speaking from the consumer's perspective, I have been on one particular mailing list for several years and I never had any clue when I signed up, but at some point I gave them my email and got on the list and I have not unsubscribed since because it is a niche I am very interested in to the point where I feel I might be really losing out if I got out of it. If not for the list I am certain I would have never been to this site again.

If you do any kind of blogging and want to try the next big thing, PM me.

In some niches you're possibly leaving as much as 90% on the table if you don't build a list.

Just be careful not to fall asleep though once you've built a responsive list, remember to keep adding new people to your list so it doesn't lose its power.

Even if your e-mail list loses just 5% of its power each month, in a year it will only be around half as effective (100% x 0.95^12 = 54%)

You counter the inevitable decline by adding new people to your list regularly.

Not to mention building a good relationship with your list so they trust and respect you.
