    Read the report.

It does not address the fact that 99% of people that get involved with mlm - online or off - never make any decent and steady money.

My advice to any family member is to leave the recruiting people models alone or suffer the fate of millions before you.

I wonder how many people who start IM make money?

Only 44% of small businesses make it to the five year mark. With others failing later. And most small businesses require a much heavier capital outlay vs. MLM.

Maybe nobody should do anything with risk huh?

        Jake...

You're absolutely right. I've been in MLM since 1972 and it's my firm
belief that one of the reasons many don't take the action required to earn
money is the cost of entry.

If they had to pay $20,000 (or more) to set up their business and
provide reserves for operating capital two things would happen...

First, the tire kickers wouldn't join.
Second, those who did join would take it a lot more seriously.

The fact that some people make no money in MLM isn't an indictment
of the business model. Plenty of people have made plenty of money and
even more will do so in the future.

A smart guy told me early on if you treat it like a business it will pay
you profits like a business. If you treat it like a hobby it will drain your
        bank account like a hobby.

How many of those 99% take any serious action? Signing up for autoship doesn't count toward that.

    Hello Terry and All:

I think that internet marketers are involved in MLM, just that we tend to look at it in a silo. The truth is that it is highly integrated with online marketing. As Thomas Stanley says in Networking With Millionaires, you can build an income by serving those who have large incomes and money to spend. I have been writing and posting about that today and will probably be posting about that for the rest of this week.

Here is my most recent post:

Thanks for the report. I've yet to read it, but I will.

Being in an area where there are lots of MLM companies I often drive past their facilities and headquarters. Anyone that says there is no money in MLM is just wrong. It just depends on who you are and what you are doing.

The real money is in owning the MLM company. Second to that are the top distributors. The rest are dreaming and hoping but that doesn't mean they can't make it.
