Is your title and description keyword optimized? It should be to help searchers find it on Amazon and Google.

Also, be sure it's an original work. There is so much PLR on there using the exact same titles and ebook covers, you must stand out so that others will know your book is unique.

"Recipe" kindle ebooks are in the thousands on Amazon!

My suggestion is to offer a FREE kindle ebook with some free recipes and link to your full version. If you are publishing "original recipes" as Kecia suggests, let them get a taste of a couple first (no pun intended...lol). If you have some quality and unique recipes, the free one's will sell your full version for you....

Though I obviously haven't seen what you are offering, some very "eye catching" cover art may help the cause too if yours in not already.....

I get the master resell right. So far I can see no one else selling the ebook yet in kindle format.

If you aren't making any sales, it's probably because the content isn't very good.

Well if there are no sales....how would anyone know if the content is any good or not? (I am not a Kindle expert so unless there is someway to preview content I am not aware of....not sure how this can be determined)

Kindle books can be "sampled", so yes, people can see the quality before buying.

If you just uploaded a PDF it's very possible that the formatting for Kindle is messed up, which could explain why people aren't buying it. Have you used the Kindle Previewer to check it?

Have you applied any marketing for your Kindle book? You could tell your list (if you have one) about your book. Contact someone who has a recipe newsletter, and ask him/her to review your book -with a link to your Kindle book, in return for a free copy. Nobody will visit your book page if you don't apply any marketing to it.

Ok. Besides the content is not good & din't do enough marketing, do you think that the volume of ebooks I uploaded affects the sales?

I just uploaded one only. Do I need to upload more to see sales?

I just take ebay as an example. Listing more products to see sales.

I put my recipe book on kindle a month ago - so far I have made 34 sales.
So - I think recipe books sell.

            Some tips

After uploading a pdf version I realised that the book looked dreadful - so I formatted it and saved it as an html file. After uploading this file the book looks great.

I spent a long time on the keywords and description. You should write in a professional style as a publisher. This is not an afterthought.

Your content has to be good because readers can preview it. If it is rubbish then they can see that.

I have a professionally designed cover for Kindle to display.

            Good Luck With your sales

Nope... amazon convert it via the own system.

If you build (write) it they will come doesn't necessarily apply to online sales. You've got to promote it. Do you have a marketing plan in place? If not, do a search for promoting Kindle books or how to promote an ebook. There's plenty of info out there and many of the methods are free. Good luck.

I would download the sample from amazon yourself and have a look at it. You can download software from the amazon site to view kindle books on your PC.

When you have downloaded the sample and looked at it, you need to ask yourself, "Would I buy it?"

With you uploading a PDF to amazon (as kevinw1 already stated), the formatting gets messed up and I'm sure you'll come to the conclusion that you probably wouldn't buy it.

You may find it easier with PLR where you can alter the cover, title etc as well as make sure that the formatting comes out OK.

Lots of people seem to use Word and have OK results with a bit of tweaking. I personally edit the HTML code.

To get a good idea of what your book is going to look like, you may want to try mobipocket creator which is free

Amazon is being flooded with Kindle books, so it's really important to do your best at marketing it so that people become aware of it.
If you just put up a Kindle book with no marketing, then you will likely have a very tough time with generating any views and resultant sales.

I know its hard to get sales, especially if there are no reviews. You should spend your time promoting your book or offer it for free.

Amazon isn't some magical place where you put your books and you sell zillions with no work at all. You need to heavily MARKET your book and your brand and have a plan.

There are three key points to making money on Amazon Kindle:

    1. Original content.....forget PLR......Amazon will stop you eventually.

    2. Good Cover....make it the best you can do.

    3. Reviews...good ones honestly received.........only way to do it.

I hope you won't feel insulted but I can see that English is not your first language. I have to be honest and point out that from reading your posts, your English is not very good. Even the word recipes is spelled wrong.

So if you wrote the book yourself, this may greatly reduce your chances of selling any copies. Why not get someone to clean up the spelling and grammar? It could make all the difference betwen sales and no sales. You might find someone willing to do that here on WF, or try Fiverr.

      Best of luck!

      Ken
