Questions about PLR Selling -Vs- PLR Reselling with master resale rights

I am curious about PLR sales. From the looks of things there are 2 sides to the business.

1) You buy PLR content and sell it to the public yourself.

2) You buy PLR content with master resale rights and you sell the PLR content to other marketers who sell it to the public.

How many people are doing option-2? Purchasing plr content with master resale rights, building your own plr store and reselling it to marketers?

Do you leave the plr content as is when reselling it to other marketers or do you customize/rewrite it and promote it as a new plr package to marketers?

Is this profitable? How do you manage sales? Do you use Paypal or another service? How about the digital downloads after the purchase of a product? Did you do this with a membership site or a stand alone website?

THX for any/all info!

Often you'll find that resell rights do *not* come with the rights to also edit the content, too. So you may have not choice but to leave it as-is and sell it like that. If you could get rights that allow you to resell, AND edit the product then I imagine that'd be a lot more profitable, as editing the content would distinguish you from the many other marketers also selling the same content.

(I'm not going to comment on the other questions as I'm afraid I don't sell resell rights products, but thought I could help with that one).

There is also a third side of creating and selling original PLR that you have created yourself. That is the route I primarily take, though I also purchase PLR for my niche sites and other ventures.

PLR with full rights isn't always as popular as restricted rights PLR. If you're selling PLR that everyone else has the right to sell too, it will quickly lose its value.

There are already quite a few PLR sites selling this type of PLR for just a few dollars per item, and the quality isn't always great.

If you provide brand new quality PLR (you can still sell to marketers with unrestricted rights) you could charge more.

This is great since it allows to sell original contents. You can do this with PLR contents too how? get PLR contents (eBooks, articles......), rewrite in own words and sell.

Getting PLR with full rights to sell and edit the PDF document is your best bet, as you can change it around and make it your own product.

Getting PLR that you can't edit that others are also selling is not as good, as the market for that product will be tapped out.

Thanks for the replies. I want to develop a game plan before jumping into this. I've already used plr content for free giveaways. I've yet to rewrite plr content and sell it myself. I did have an ebook written years ago but I chose a dry niche. I was in the Profit Niche Classroom at the time.

I am still curious about reselling plr with master resale rights. I'll do some homework to see if it looks doable. Starting this type of business (creating a plr store) would take a complete game plan and a lot of work. Lately I've been building quick blogs that I can do in my sleep. This thread was the first step of me transforming a thought into a plan. I love having this board to bounce ideas off
