Ezine Articles Premium Membership...Is It Worth It?

About a year ago I stopped submitting articles to ezinearticles.com because I found their service to be very irritating. For example, my articles would be flagged for keyword abuse because a certain phrase was written 3 times or something in an article.

Recently I've decided to take a crack at ezinearticles.com again just to see if they have changed and if so, what kind of traffic I could actually generate.

With 10 articles accepted and generating traffic I am pleased to announce that I am very happy with ezinearticles current services. In fact, I am very impressed with the detailed stats, the WYSIWYG article editor, and the multiple pen names and resource boxes provided free of charge by ezinearticles and offered by no other article directories that I know of.

I noticed today that their premium membership service is available at $194 quarterly. This seems a little expensive but possibly worth it if it drastically speeds up the submission process and also provides me with even more detailed stats.

So what are your thoughts on the premium membership as opposed to the free platinum membership?

Do you really think it's worth the added cost?

  • The scheduling feature alone is worth it. Approval is fast & if there any problems and you resubmit, that is taken care of quickly.

    • So do you think article submissions take less 2 days? If so, then I think that might be worth it.

      And how about problems and questions? Less than 24 hours would be really great.
  • I don't know about weekends, but so far everything has been done within 24 hours.

    • I would recommend it if you were going to write a large amount of articles. Otherwise, I would save your money. As an "Expert author," I usually do not have to wait more than 2 days as it is ... to each their own.

  • Yea - My articles are generally approved in 2 days or less. Once you really get going with articles and writing them on a daily basis, you've got articles that are getting approved daily for the most part (minus the 2 day lag time).

    $97 a month or whatever they charge to just approve articles faster is offensive to their authors in my eyes. There are so many people who give them free content to make them thousands and thousands of money from Adsense each month, and then they turn around and charge an outrageous fee to approve articles faster and schedule their release, which scheduling is still a shot in the dark.

    If they dropped it down to something more manageable, such as $47 a month, it is something I would consider trying, but $97 per month is too wasteful in my eyes.

    Will I stop using Ezine? Absolutely not, because my articles get approved in a decent time already without having to pay for an expensive monthly membership, but I do think the membership isn't worth the cash.

    • And if article marketing is worthwhile, certainly it makes you thousands of dollars, right? Funny how article writers don't think it's outrageous that they get a money-making service for free (or for a fee if they want it done more quickly and efficiently).

      It's only $97 if you choose the monthly option...you can pay less.

      Hey...also can you explain what you mean about scheduling being a "shot in the dark"?

  • Absolutely...and you did.

    Of course EA is not the only place. I spend my $ for efficiency's sake elsewhere too. :-)

    To be fair, I think the EA price is kind of steep but not offensive :-), but it's what they got...and it serves our needs.

  • I agree. 97 bucks a month is pushing it. Ezine articles is a great way to drive traffic to a website.

    You should try hard for 2-3 weeks to reach platinum author status. You will see your articles publish much faster and more traffic going to your website.

  • It you are submitting a lot of articles then it would be worth it.
