Need opinion regarding buying of a PR2 domain

Someone is selling his PR2 domain.at 50$ .
The domain is gtld (.com) and the name is also good but not extreme.
It contains 10 letters excluding .com .
Is it worth buying?
What possibly can be the method of earning with it besides link selling.

  • It's not very valuable for selling links. I haven't looked at the domain to know how old it is or how many back links it has, whether it has drops in registration, etc... But just in general a PR2 is just not that valuable for link building purposes.

  • For link selling its not that valuable , I agree.

    But in general terms, I would never pay $50 for a PR 2 domain purely because of PR value. Only reason would be , because domain has a good name etc.

  • Yep, good point... I was typing on an iPad and "kept it short"...

    Any domain's value is determined by both objective data and subjective data. Objective data is usually traffic, monetization, PR, age, etc... and the subjective stuff consists of many things such as how much value you assign to the name of the domain, etc...

  • Just be careful you do your research before buying it.

    I have often seen people buy high PR domains only for them to revert back to "N/A" at the next PR update.

    This can be an issue with your backlinks, your website, or the fact that the domain is changing ownership.

    By the way, PR2 would not be worth $50 for me, generally it's still quite a low quality link on its own
