This is a powerful lesson I finally learned

I can't believe this but it took me 3 years to finally learn this lesson...

This past week I've actually got more done in less time by setting up an office outside my home and working LESS.

Yup, I never thought working less would actually equate to getting more (much more) done. My thoughts are clearer each day I come into the office, I work set hours and now I actually look forward to going home and seeing my family.

Never in a million years did I ever think this would work and fought it for the past 3 years... having worked 15 hour days, day after day I thought I had to work more to get more done.

This past week has proven me wrong! and now I'm getting more done in less time which will definitely increase my business profits astronomically.

What a valuable lesson...

PS. Now I feel less stressed out and the time lines I've set are much easier to reach because the times I'm in the office are more productive due to not being burned out.

PPS. Time to go home, see the kids and get ready for the hockey game! Having more time on my hands totally rocks!

Mike, I work at home but during the year, I'm the only one home from 7 AM
to 5 PM as my wife works and my daughter is away at school.

When they're home, I don't get nearly as much done.

So you're right. When you can be alone, it's definitely best.

Funny and Ironic how the "Work from Home" dream becomes real when you take your "Work from Home" work out of your home...

Mike, that's great. There's probably a couple of things going on making you more productive.

For me it would be, making the commitment to my 'business' by renting office space.

Renting office space ='s making better use of my time while I am there.

Not being able to run back to my computer at 10 pm, so making sure everything essential was taken care of.

Have a plan for each day to maximize my time.

In short, by compressing your work hours you've made yourself a 'busy person'. And if you want a job done, you give it to a busy person.

Work - like water - will over flow wherever you leave enough space (time) for it.

Congrats and I'm sure this means greater success for you in 2009.
